Shelter Dog Shot in Head and Left to Die Deserves Justice

Target: Faith Johnson, District Attorney for Dallas County, Texas

Goal: Demand that the person who shot a recently adopted dog in the head, leading to his death, receives the maximum penalty possible by law.

A dog suffered and died when he was shot in the head and left by the side of the road. The pit bull mix had been adopted from a shelter just one day before his death. Demand justice for this innocent dog.

“Do you wonder what he was thinking in those last moments when the monster laid him down on the side of the hot road with a gun pointed to his head,” asked a member of Dallas DogRRR, a local dog rescue group, on their Facebook page. The pit bull mix, known as Titan, had been adopted from The Garland Animal Shelter only one day before he was found on the side of the road, a bullet in his head. Titan’s former owner originally surrendered him to the shelter due to financial difficulties.

The Dallas Police Department and the SPCA of Texas are investigating this as an act of animal cruelty. They have not yet identified any suspects. Sign below to demand that the people responsible for this heinous crime are charged and assigned the maximum penalty possible by law.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Johnson,

A shelter dog was shot in the head in a gruesome case of animal cruelty. The person responsible then left him by the side of the road to die. We demand justice for this innocent dog.

The Dallas Police Department and the SPCA of Texas are investigating after a dead dog was found by the side of the road, a bullet in his head. The Garland Animal Shelter confirmed that Titan, a pit bull mix, had been adopted from their shelter just one day before his tragic death. Titan had originally been surrendered to the shelter due to his owner’s financial difficulties. Investigators have not yet identified any suspects, but they are considering this an animal cruelty offense.

This cruel and heinous act cannot go unpunished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

Animals are released after the Shelter gets the ID of the person adopting them, correct? Then hurry up and get that son of a gun! whose life, no doubt, will have a tragic ending!

  4. I don’t understand how there is no mention in this write up about the person who adopted this innocent dog, Titan, the day before…may there be justice for this!!!

    Time for some real justice❗️😠
    Signed & Shared. 🤬

  6. I wonder if the person who adopted Titan did so with the intention of murdering him? I saw on social media where people were being encouraged to adopt pit bulls from shelters and kill them. It’s extremely horrific and cruel. I have a pittie and they are wonderfully loving, loyal and sweet dogs. They do not deserve the reputation they have and all the abuse they receive. Hope they find the individual who did this to poor Titan. RIP sweet boy.

  7. Why is this world now is so full of this kind of sick sinful morons ??? Pls do something about it to stop it! I hate humans more n more now. Shame on evil human kind!! Bad karma will hunt this idiot whole life!!

FIND THE MONSTER AND KILL IT!

  9. K . Ogden says:

What do you mean they have no suspects – am I missing something here – what about the person who just adopted the poor little guy – even if it wasn’t the new owner he or she must know who did it – great police work

  10. Jaime Perez says:

The shelter who adopted Titan should have the name of the murderer. Police need to get it and arrest the monster!

  11. I HOPE THEY FIND THIS COWARD AND THEY PUT A BULLET TO HIS HEAD!

I demand that the vile and evil animal murdering monster who shot a recently adopted dog in the head, leading to his death, receives the maximum penalty possible by law. That penalty punishment must be the death penalty. Shoot this monster in the head. The world would be a much safer plance for all animals if all animal torturers and abusers were eradicated from our planet.

RIP little fella. Karma will get this monster.

  13. SOB – feed him to the sharks, he is not worth to breath the air!

  14. They have his drivers license, but time for shelters to take their own pictures.
His license could be fake. Hard to fake your face all over social media. Do they have cameras in the shelter ? Someone knows who did this. I pray he is found and never makes it to a court house.

  15. “Clear the shelters”? First clear the puppy mills and other breeding facilities and put the owners and supporters in prison. Then the shelters will not need careless “clearing” to make ever more room for more prisoners!

  16. Death penalty.

  17. Gabriela Torres says:

    Dear District Attorney Johnson,
If Titan was adopted and with his new owner, how in the world was he murdered? He was supposed to have been with him at the time, was he not? I don’t understand how this could have happened unless the ‘new owner’ murdered Titan … and if that’s the case he deserves a good number of years in jail!
    Wouldn’t you think?

  18. Set an example District Attorney Johnson, do not allow this injustice to be overlooked because the victim was an animal. You have the power to make changes and help all living beings live in peace. Find and prosecute this criminal to the fullest extent.

  19. Is there an update on this? Any investigation?
