Eleven Animals Allegedly Starved, Neglected, and Kept in Filthy Pens Deserve Justice

Target: Stephen K. Cornwell Jr., District Attorney for Broome County, New York

Goal: Demand that the man who allegedly kept eleven animals in dirty pens with no access to clean water or food receive the maximum penalty by law.

Eleven animals were allegedly starved and neglected in a gruesome case of animal cruelty. The animals reportedly lived in small dirty pens, some outside, and had no access to food or clean water. Demand justice for these innocent animals.

Investigators with the Broome County Sheriff’s Office searched John Elmer’s property after they received reports of neglected animals. Eleven animals, including two sick cats and four emaciated sheep, were reportedly found living in small dirty pens. Four caged foxes lived in the backyard with no drinkable water, investigators stated, and a donkey suffered from a contagious untreated skin disease. Per reports, two dead goats were also found on the property, and they’d likely been dead for many months.

The surviving animals are receiving medical treatment. Investigators charged Elmer with seven counts of failure to provide proper sustenance to animals and two counts of failure to provide proper food, drink, and wholesome air to an impounded animal. Sign below and demand that Elmer receive the maximum penalty by law, if convicted.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Cornwell,

Eleven animals suffered and two died when they were allegedly starved and neglected. The animals reportedly lived in small dirty pens and had no access to clean water or food. We demand justice for these poor animals.

The Broome County Sheriff’s Office charged John Elmer with nine counts of animal cruelty after he allegedly starved and neglected animals on his property. The animals, including a donkey with a contagious skin disease and an emaciated fox, reportedly lived in filthy cages and suffered from various untreated ailments. Two cats tested positive for hookworm, investigators stated, and a sheep went blind due to an untreated eye infection. Two dead goats were also reportedly found on the property. The surviving animals are receiving treatment. Elmer will face his charges at a later date.

This horrific neglect must be punished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,

  5. HELL AWAITS JOHN ELMER NOW.

  6. Maximum sentence – will it be a slap on the wrist or a $100.00 fine?

Jail is not good enough. There he will be fed and cared for by the taxpayer – much better that he cared for the animals.

Hard labor for 10 + years for this rotten bastard!
