Justice for Animals Reportedly Horrifically Neglected by ‘Sanctuary’

Target: Brad Allison, Chief of the Canton, Texas Police Department

Goal: Charge Texas animal ‘sanctuary’ with criminal animal neglect.

Over 100 animals were reportedly found starving or dead at a so-called sanctuary in Texas. The scene was described as “a sea of dead horses” by SPCA spokeswoman Victoria Albrecht; the corpses of at least 50 horses reportedly lay scattered and decaying along the property’s creek. Among the survivors were 70 more horses, plus pigs and donkeys, all reportedly in various states of malnutrition, illness, and injury.

The owners of this property have not faced charges for their alleged cruelty, however. This is appalling, considering the amount of animals who allegedly suffered on their property. Horses were reportedly fed so little that they were forced to eat the bark off of trees. Various animals were reportedly found with cracked hooves and open sores. The pigs were reportedly confined to a single pen without access to food. Regardless of intent, the owners allegedly let the animals live in agony for who knows how long before they either died or were rescued.

Animal neglect is still animal cruelty, and the owners must face justice for allegedly letting these animals live in agony for as long as they did. Sign this petition to demand the authorities charge the owners of this ‘sanctuary’ with animal cruelty and abuse.

Dear Chief Allison,

A Canton sanctuary was reportedly found littered with starving and dead animals. The corpses of 50 horses reportedly lay scattered along a creek, while 87 animals seized from the property were reportedly malnourished and suffering various injuries and illnesses. According to reports, the pigs were confined in a single pen with no food, while the horses were forced to eat the bark from trees to survive. Despite all of this, the owners have not been charged immediately.

You cannot let this stand. The owners of this so-called sanctuary allegedly let over 100 animals suffer and half of them die slow and painful deaths. These poor creatures deserved better than to live in agony for who knows how long; even if the owners did not intend to let this happen, they allegedly did, and they must face justice. See that they are charged with animal cruelty immediately.

Again why are there no names. What good is a petition that doesn’t state who they are petitioning against?

  2. anirav@yahoo.com says:

    I second that

  3. lynn woods says:

how do these people get away with doing this isn’t there someone that checks on these places this isn’t the first one I’ve heard of we have a women in Canada that was charged and shut down for the same reason these bastards should punished to the fullest for pretending to love and care for animals and then do this starve them and see how they like it an eye for an eye I say

  4. This is a truly dreadful case of neglect and cruelty.I cannot believe that those guilty of this inhumane treatment of these captive animals have not even been charged! They have a lot to answer for and must face up to what they have done and are doing.I know that many states of the US have little or no laws against animal abuse and I find this indicative of a rather mindless society. Please look hard at this and condemn these useless ‘animal lovers’ to a long hard and meaningful punishment and forbid them ever to have contact with animals again.

  6. What the Hell is going on with these CRUEL MORONS!!!!??. I HOPE THEY DON’T GET OFF WITH A D-DAMN SLAP ON THE WRIST!!!!. IF SO..FIRE THE JUDGE!!!!
