Charge Man Who Allegedly Abandoned His Dog and Left It to Die

Target: District Attorney General for Washington County, Tennessee

Goal: Charge the man who allegedly abandoned his dog, leaving the animal to die, to the highest extent of the law.

A dog was reportedly found dead in the backyard of a foreclosed home. Per police, the dog’s decomposed body was tied to a doghouse in an overgrown lot. Demand justice for this poor dog.

“The dog was pretty decayed. There wasn’t much left of him,” stated Officer Cecil Lawson of the Washington County/Johnson City Animal Control. Workers contacted Lawson after they reportedly found the dog’s decomposed remains inside of a hidden doghouse. Per investigators, the older brown Labrador was tied to the doghouse with a leash and he still wore a collar. The former occupant abandoned the home over a month ago, per police, and left the dog behind with no access to food or water.

An investigation led police to cite Michael Aaron Wilson with animal cruelty. He will appear in court at a later date. Sign below and demand that Wilson receives the maximum penalty by law, if convicted.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney General Clark,

A dog suffered and died tragically when he was allegedly abandoned in the backyard of a foreclosed home. Workers reportedly found the dog’s decomposed body still attached to a doghouse. We demand justice for this innocent dog.

Officers cited Michael Aaron Wilson with animal cruelty after he allegedly abandoned a dog, leading to the dog’s death. Workers reportedly found the brown Labrador’s nearly decomposed body inside of a doghouse with his collar still attached. There was no food or water at the scene, investigators stated, and the overgrown trees hid the doghouse from easy view. Per officers, they’d previously responded to the property after they received a complaint that the dog was not protected from the cold. They found the dog to be in good health at that time. Wilson will answer his charge at a later date.

This horrific cruelty must be punished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,
