Stop the Sexual Assault of Children on U.S. Military Bases

Target: Jim Mattis, Secretary of Defense

Goal: Enact policies to prevent the rampant underage sexual violence on military bases.

The Department of Defense and the Pentagon are doing nothing to address a sexual assault epidemic involving children on military bases. In some cases, the report gets thrown out before it reaches a prosecutor, even when the attacker confesses and guidelines require the case to move forward.

In response to the report detailing these offenses, the Department of Defense has stated they will do their best to take “appropriate measures” to address the issue, without detailing any plan of action or preventative methods. The military is already plagued with sexual assaults all throughout the ranks that aren’t being dealt with, and now our children are facing the same violence. Sign the petition below to demand something be done about this travesty.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Secretary Mattis,

The children of our service members have enough to worry about without being assaulted in their own homes by fellow members of their community. The Pentagon’s response to this threat has not been swift enough, and if something doesn’t happen soon, the people will have to take action.

We demand that you stop letting our children be assaulted under military watch without any consequence, or even a trial, for that matter. Take the action necessary to ensure the children of the military remain safe on their own bases.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

stop raping them! just stop sexual harassment.

  2. Stop disgracing the uniform and our country.

    • OMG! Can everyone just stop believing everything you read. This petition is very vague and highly inaccurate. Please Google this and understand that it is NOT servicemembers. They are talking about child-on-child sexual assault.

  3. Nadine Brundage says:

How is this allowed to go on. ,,?? What a disgrace.

  4. How sad. The military should know better. The eyes of the world are watching you

    • Servicemembers are treated worse than any other person in the US. They are subject to the UCMJ instead of simple civilian laws. There are people convicted by a court martial, so they have years of actual hard labor and a federal felony conviction, for things that wouldn’t have even gone to court in the civilian system. The UCMJ has a much less strict standard of guilt than any other court system in the US. The sexual assault conviction are higher because it’s easier to convict in the military not because it’s more common.

  6. Wendy Morrison says:

Military bases should have ZERO TOLERANCE for this crime of RAPE of the CHILDREN of service personnel! The rapist should be charged and imprisoned too!!!

  7. What is going on??!! this is unacceptable!! STOP THIS ABUSE IMMEDIATELY!!

  8. gabriela torres says:

Why the service people is not subject to the USA criminal laws for raping kids? They should be prosecuted and publicly discharged for dishonoring the military. They should be treated like any other rape offender and pay for their crimes.

    • They are talking about child-on-child sexual assault. This does NOT involve actual servicemembers. Please read accurate articles instead of this deceiving petition.

  9. We need scientist who can make up a medicine that can wipe testosterone off the face of the earth.
All rapist, abusers and killers must be wiped off the face of the earth. Stop playing with them. NO prison feed them to the cricodiles and lions. PLEASE PLEASE ACT NOW.
ENOUGH SUFFERING OF THE INNOCENT ON THIS EARTH!!!!

  10. This is DISGUSTING AND DEGRADING BEYOND BELIEF!!! How is it possible that no action has been taken to prosecute offenders? Obviously, it is a case that has excluded any external intervention and inquiry processes. THIS MATTER NEEDS TO GO BEYOND THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENCE… OTHERWISE, NOTHING SIGNIFICANT WILL BE DONE!!!

  11. This petition is RIDICULOUSLY deceiving! The “epidemic” you speak of is between children on military bases, NOT service members and children. As I am reading some of the comments, I feel your petition is putting a completely inaccurate spin on what is actually occurring.

As a 15-year former Marine Corps spouse who has lived on bases in FL, VA, and CA, I have NEVER heard of sexual assault between actual service members and children. All of the military children I know, inc my own, are happy, healthy, and strong kids. My husband, who was an XO, was involved in the arrest of one Marine who raped another, and one Marine whose computer was confiscated for child pornography, and I can assure you…both men were both dealt with harshly and swiftly!

More fake news. Anyone can write or say anything and people take it as the Gospel truth.

  13. Should be exposed with photos and names.
    Expelled forever!
    Stripped on all ranks!

This is to be part of our society that we should be able to trust!

    • This seems to be about kids assaulting other kids, not the military members.
And since you want to spout off in total ignorance, Servicemembers are treated worse than any other person in the US. They are subject to the UCMJ instead of simple civilian laws. 14. Regardless who is doing the rapings as one person keeps pointing out, it doesn’t matter! Children are being raped! I don’t care if adults are doing it or if peers their own age are doing it! Rape is rape and they all should be dealt with in the same exact way! Adult or not! Execute them all! There is no such thing as rehabilitation for these sick motherfuckers!

  15. Charles Savoie says:

I refuse to sign this ridiculous petition as it completely ignores doctors at military hospitals amputating part of infant males bodies. And that’s always the best way to destroy anyone—with bogus definitions, in this case, “medical procedure,” or “parents choice” or any other such disclaimers.

  16. It’s typical of that “shameless” country … so, not surprising but just disgusting and infuriating!!

  17. Det Ruff McGruff says:

Careful people. This petition is probably a scam to get you on someone’s mailing list. I spent 21 years as a Military Policeman and 15 years as a civilian Dept of the Army Police officer/detective. Believe me, the military takes any report of any type of sexual assault, especially involving kids extremely serious. Reports like that go all the way to the top in the Pentagon.

  18. Melanie Johnson says:

Wait, I thought that childern weren’t allow to be in the army. Oh wait, they’re talking about 16-17 year olds. Well I still signed

  19. Melanie Johnson says:

I’m not blaming the kids or the parents. I was just confused at first beacuse the law outlawed them to be in the militery. Then I remembered that at 16 or 17 with parents permission, they can be in the army.
