Justice for Two Pugs Allegedly Beaten to Death

Target: Brian Gensel, Porter County District Attorney, Indiana

Goal: Demand the man who allegedly beat a pair of dogs to death be brought to justice.

A pair of pug dogs were allegedly stolen and murdered by an Indiana man after their owner had apparently turned down his offers for a date. Eyewitnesses claim to have heard the dogs screeching in pain and seen the suspect, Anthony Priestas, slamming one of them to the ground. Demand justice for these dogs who appear to have been senselessly killed as an act of revenge.

The two dogs, Marley and Mugsy, had lived with their owner Brandy Ortiz for over seven years. Ortiz claimed that shortly before their disappearance, Priestas had made unwanted romantic advances and she had turned him down. Combined with the eyewitness accounts, it is now believed that Priestas stole the dogs and drove out to a rural location, where he brutally beat them to death. The bodies of both dogs were later discovered lying in a ditch.

Priestas has now been arrested and charged with animal cruelty and is awaiting his trial. If he is guilty of having killed these dogs, he must be severely punished. Sign below and demand that the district attorney seek the maximum penalty under law if these allegations are proven to be true.

Dear District Attorney Gensel,

Two dogs were horrifically beaten to death and left to rot in a water-filled ditch in what appears to be a shocking case of revenge. Eyewitnesses claim to have seen Anthony Priestas slamming one of the dogs onto the ground and heard the dogs’ pained yelps as he allegedly beat them in retaliation for being turned down for a date by the dogs’ owner. These deaths were both cruel and senseless, and we demand justice for these innocent dogs.

Studies have shown that there is a strong link between animal and domestic abuse, and that those who would harm animals may go on to perform violent acts against people. That is why we, the undersigned, demand that you seek the maximum penalty for Priestas if he is found guilty of having committed this heinous crime.
