Condemn Ugandan Pastor For Vulgar Homophobic Lies

Target: Ugandan Pastor, Reverend Martin Ssempa

Goal: To condemn Reverend Martin Ssempa for spreading lies in order to promote his homophobic agenda.

Ugandan Pastor Reverend Martin Ssempa is a known advocate of homophobic legislature.  A strong supporter of Uganda’s Anti-Homosexuality Bill, Ssempa is no stranger to homophobic sentiments.  His most recent claim to fame was his recent appearance on the talk show “Morning Breeze,” where he graphically used a banana to demonstrate the nature of homosexual activity.  In the past he has been quoted as saying that “homosexuals eat each other’s poop,” and he has screened pornographic fetish videos as a representation of all homosexual activity.  This sort of behavior spreads lies about normal healthy homosexual activity, and is altogether inappropriate.  Ssempa should be condemned for his inhumane behavior and for associating homosexual behavior with such vulgarity.

Not only does Ssempa make no effort to hide his homophobic sentiments, but he uses false evidence to support his claims that homosexuality is a form of deviancy.  He claims that homosexuals use fists and fruit in an unnatural way; while for a small percentage of the population this may be true, this is not behavior unique to gay people alone.  He specifically targets the homosexual population regarding certain activities where there is no factual accuracy.  He is not alone in his attempt to vilify the LGBTQ population, as religious figures around the world have similar sentiments and spread similar misinformation.  A course of action must be taken in fighting back against these lies and hateful words.  By signing this petition you are condemning Reverend Martin Ssempa for his unacceptable behavior, and pushing for acceptance of the LGBTQ population.

Dear Reverend Ssempa,

I am writing to you to express my outrage over your vulgarity during your recent appearance on “Morning Breeze.”  Not only was your behavior inappropriate, but spreading false information regarding homosexual activity on television is completely unacceptable.  Your obvious homophobic agenda has lead you to spread lies about the community, and this cannot be allowed.   You are attacking people whose personal lives are none of your business, and your graphic demonstrations of homosexual activity are insulting.  You make generalizations about the activity of entire population that are simply inaccurate.

While you are entitled to your opinions, I urge you to stop spreading hate, and end your crusade against homosexuals.  Especially as a religious leader you should be spreading words of acceptance, not attacking and vilifying the homosexual population.  Your screenings of pornography and graphic demonstrations of homosexual activity using fruit and vulgar language makes you look the villain more so than any of the people you are targeting.  Please stop spreading lies and generalizations about the gay community.

The whole subject is disgusting. What people do in the privacy of their homes and especially their bedrooms is absolutely none of anyones fu***king business. I see so much of this shit come out of the mouths of so called ” men of the Cloth ‘ , people who say they believe in GOD and Jesus Christ and yet they espouse the work of the Devil. Instead of spreading the words of Peace and Love they foment lies and hatred and death to people for loving one another. If Jesus were to return today and see what is being done to his children in his name, I believe he would leave very quickly and never return.
