Demand Justice for Puppy Allegedly Dragged, Choked, and Beaten

Target: Hal Kittrell, District Attorney 15th Circuit Court of Mississippi

Goal: Punish man who allegedly dragged, choked, and cruelly beat a dog to the fullest extent of the law.

A man in Prentiss, Mississippi, was arrested after video footage implicated him as the person who dragged, choked, and beat a harmless puppy. The accused had recently adopted a dog from a local animal shelter. A neighbor posted a video on social media showing an abuser ruthlessly tugging a choking dog down a path and beating it on the head with a plastic leash handle.

The suspect, William Harrison, is being held at the Jefferson Davis County Jail on a $1,000 bond. He is charged with one count of animal cruelty for willfully and unlawfully torturing a dog. Mississippi classifies animal cruelty as a misdemeanor crime.

Fortunately, local animal advocates in the area have been able to place this poor little dog in a new home that is safe and secure. Many people have expressed outrage about this alleged animal cruelty, and they are demanding the perpetrator of this crime be held accountable. Apparently, one supporter offered to pay all legal fees required to assure that the executor of this crime receive the maximum sentence.

People who harm animals are a danger to society. There is a clear connection between violence against animals and human beings. Sign the petition to demand punishment to the fullest extent of the law if the accused is found to be guilty.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Kittrell,

A resident of Prentiss, Mississippi, was allegedly caught on camera dragging a puppy down the road, mercilessly choking the helpless animal while hitting it on the head with the handle of a plastic leash. A neighbor saw the animal abuse in action and posted video footage of the cruelty on social media, leading to his arrest. The suspect, William Harrison, has been apprehended and charged with animal cruelty, and he is being held at the Jefferson Davis County Jail.

Crime statistics reveal that people who abuse animals are five times as likely to cause harm to humans. Most disturbing in this case, the accused recently adopted a dog from the Columbia Animal Shelter. It is frightening to think of the possibility that this mistreatment of a defenseless dog could have been a premeditated crime.

A strong societal message must be conveyed that this type of deviant, malicious behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. People who harm other life forms threaten the well-being of every creature around them. If the suspect is convicted, I ask that he receive the maximum punishment of a $10,000 fine and five years in jail.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  1. The only punishment for people like this is DO THE SAME TO THEM. That’s the only way to end this.Even if the animal survive, the human who had cause the injuries should never be left alive. Should be tortured, should have the same and make sure is dead. His meat should go to feed animals and some bad criminals.
