Punish Dog Boarder Accused of Animal Abuse

Target: Steve Marshall, Attorney General of Alabama

Goal: Punish dog boarder accused of criminally neglecting dogs.

Several dogs were reportedly found dying or dead from criminal neglect at The Dog House, an Alabama dog care facility. Three surviving dogs were reportedly forced to eat the remains of the dead dogs, and two more were emaciated, infested with worms and parasites. A man who lived near the facility stated that neighbors “noticed not much activity, didn’t know if there was a business, just noticed dogs that barked when people drove by,” leading to an investigation and this discovery by detectives.

For a business that supposedly specialized in the care, grooming, and training of dogs to allow this level of neglect is appalling. It is unknown exactly what went on within the facility or its property, but it is suspected that these dogs were barely cared for or paid any attention from the beginning. There is also little information about the dogs’ owners and whether or not they were notified of their dogs’ conditions or fates, but it can be assumed that those whose dogs perished due to neglect were devastated.

The facility has shut down and owner Alexandria Holland is currently in jail, but that is not enough. Holland allegedly committed several heinous acts of cruelty, and must face the full consequences. While a guilty verdict will not bring back the dogs who died, it will ensure that Holland is no longer allowed to care for any animals, saving others from the same fate. Sign this petition to demand Holland face justice if found guilty.

Dear Attorney General, Marshall,

A dog boarding facility in Morgan County was shut down after several dogs were found dead or dying due to alleged criminal neglect from the owner. The living dogs were reportedly infested with parasites, and some were forced to eat the bodies of the dead dogs to survive. Furthermore, those who lived nearby claimed that they’d never seen or heard much activity at the facility, only barking to indicate the dogs were unhappy.

Alexandria Holland is in jail after being charged with five counts of animal cruelty. It is unknown exactly what went on behind closed doors, but it is commonly assumed that Holland paid the dogs little to no attention, despite owners leaving their pets with her and trusting The Dog House to properly care for them. You must ensure that if found guilty of this horrific cruelty, Holland will face justice for her alleged actions, including never being allowed to care for animals again. It is too late for the dogs who have already died, but others can still be protected from a similar fate.

Not ‘if found’ – she is already guilty of various crimes! What surprises me is that none of the dog owners took the time to visit the facility before entrusting her with their pets!
