Target: Benjamin R. David, District Attorney for New Hanover County, North Carolina

Goal: Demand that the men who allegedly broke their dog’s legs and left the injuries untreated, leading to the dog’s death, receive the maximum penalty by law.

A dog had to be euthanized after he was allegedly abused and denied veterinary care. Per deputies, the dog’s owner attacked him after he defecated on the floor, leading to the dog breaking his two back legs. Demand justice for this innocent dog.

The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office arrested Keaton Alexander Messina Miller and Joshua Ryan White after they allegedly abused and neglected their newly adopted dog. Charlie, a Tennessee hound, reportedly suffered two broken legs at the hands of Miller and never received veterinary care for the injuries. Per veterinarians, the injuries caused the femoral head and ligaments to completely tear away from his left hip resulting in considerable pain. Charlie had to be euthanized to ease his suffering.

Deputies charged Miller with felony and misdemeanor animal cruelty and White with misdemeanor animal cruelty. Sign below and demand that they each receive the maximum penalty by law, if convicted.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney David,

A dog suffered and died after he was allegedly abused and denied life-saving veterinary care. Per deputies, the dog suffered two severely broken legs after one of his owners attacked him for defecating on the floor. We demand justice for this innocent dog.

The New Hanover County Sheriff’s office charged Keaton Alexander Messina Miller with felony animal cruelty and misdemeanor animal cruelty after he allegedly physically abused his dog. Charlie, a Tennessee hound, reportedly suffered leg breaks so severe that the femoral head and the ligaments were torn away from his left hip. The dog’s second owner, Joshua Ryan White, was charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty for failing to get Charlie veterinary care. By the time veterinarians examined Charlie, his injuries were too severe to treat. Due to his considerable pain, Charlie had to be euthanized.

This horrific abuse cannot go unpunished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  1. Hard labor for the rest of their useless life!
There should be a website with the names and pictures of these offenders. Surely they will get only a slap on the wrist and be released back into society. They must be tracked!
Feed them to sharks or piranhas! They don’t deserve to live!

  2. Horrifying. Truly horrifying. I could not even read the story because my heart is breaking for this poor dog. However, I had to come and add my name to this petition because these savages need to suffer extreme consequences for their depraved brutality.

  3. When the freaking system gonna protect those inoccents? We need to upgrade the system in the whole country to protect animals from abusers with a tratar fines and extended jail time. The poor system we have increase the abuse.

  4. When the freaking system gonna protect those inoccents? We need to upgrade the system in the whole country to protect animals from abusers with a greater fines and extended jail time. The poor system we have increase the abuse.

  5. Tear the limbs off those two monsters!

  6. When will the punishment truly begin for all animal abusers and killers? Time to stop treating these crimes against innocent animals lightly with little consequences. Personally, I believe an eye for an eye. Too bad there aren’t a designated group of avengers globally to make these scum, these dregs, pay with pain, themselves. Why are these f.ckers still even alive after what they do? The Law doesn’t do these poor animals justice! These are not humans!!!!! They are evil entities!

  7. BASTARDS need both their legs broken in the same manner as they did to poor Charlie were these men a couple or just sadistic arseholes!!!!!

  8. I just can’t understand sick bas&?%ds who do horrific things like this? This piece of shit deserves to be severely punished!!

  11. Break there fucken legs agree all above

  12. I was a local neighbor and this is not accurate at all. I had daily communication with the boys and this dog was released to them from the pound where they adopted him, on the adoption day you could see he had problems. Josh took him to the vet only 10 days after adopting him and he was diagnosed with hip displasia, leasions and a lignmanet disorder. And they did seek help, it was going to cost them over $1300 to have the dog fixed, so instead they just returned the dog to the pound hoping the pound would help him. With as fragile as his legs where the dog simply falling over could have caused them to break. It’s on record but the media won’t release that, because they only want you to see the bad.
