Dear State’s Attorney Scott,

A dog suffered when she was allegedly left outside in subzero temperatures. The dog was reportedly found frozen to death in a dog house two weeks later. We demand justice for this innocent dog.

An unidentified 23-year-old Decatur man is facing preliminary charges of cruelty to animals after he allegedly left his female pit bull outside to freeze to death. Macon County Animal Control officers discovered the dog inside of a dog house that was left on a property next to the suspect’s home. Per investigators, the dog had died two weeks earlier from hypothermia. Investigators stated that the dog belonged to the suspect and that he had dumped her body and the dog house onto the adjacent property in order to dispose of the evidence.

This horrific cruelty must be punished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

  1. No animal should be left outside! Pets are family members that live with you! Maximum penalty and jail time for people too stupid to provide simple care! No excuses!

  2. Anne Moeller says:

No jail time for this INHUMANE man- instead put him outside in the freezing cold and let him FREZZE to death!!

  4. This guy is a monster and must be treated as such. Severe punishment must be handed out to this guy and that means jail time, banned from ever having animals or even being around them, fine him a huge amount and we demand he receive psychiatric help as he is a real sicko.

  5. Dear Mr. Jay Scott, State’s Attorney for Macon County, Illinois
I Demand that the 23 yr old man who allegedly let his dog freeze to death in a dog house, then dragged the dog into another yard to dispose of the evidence, receive the maximum penalty by law.
Also, to everyone living in or near Decantur you must call or go on line to see when this cruelty case goes to court and what judge will be presiding. Call or email the judge to get justice you must let your voice be heard. And you should go in person on the court date, so that the judge won’t back down and go easy on the creep, because he had extenuating circumstances. And maybe it will be picked up by local news and the whole town will see that cruelty won’t be tolerated.
    Sincerely, D. Page
Love and Peace to all the animals of the world.
