Save Pristine Rainforest From Destructive Palm Oil Expansion

Target: Lukas Enembe, Governor of Papua

Goal: Save the rain forests of Papua by stopping the expansion of a destructive palm oil plantation.

A rare and untouched rainforest in Papua, Indonesia has seen an area the size of Washington, D.C. be destroyed to make room for a single palm oil plantation. In only three years, 77 square miles of forest have been cleared.

This deforestation has disastrous effects on our environment. Its CO2 emission equals the CO2 emission that over 2.1 million cars would release. In addition, the habitats of thousands of animals have been destroyed.

This rampant destruction should be put to an end immediately before the rest of this land is lost forever. Sign the petition to demand that a permanent halt be placed on the expansion of this palm oil plantation. Protect what is left of Indonesia’s beautiful landscape.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Governor Enembe,

In only three years, 77 square miles of Papua’s once untouched rainforest have been destroyed. This is the size of Washington, D.C. This causes an unimaginable amount of damage to the environment. CO2 emission has increased by the millions and habitats have been lost by the thousands.

What is left of Papua’s rainforest should be protected and preserved. This action begins with ending the expansion of the region’s palm oil plantations. Cherish what is left of your nation’s natural wonders. Don’t destroy it.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

Can you see the Indonesian shits?
It’s not enough for them that they occupy all the West Papua, killing hundreds of the native West Papuan people but they also have to plunder their homeland.
They are the recent Nazis in this area and all decent people should boycott this rubbish country!!! https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=west+papuans+killed+by+indonesian+photos&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiAlev7tsPYAhUECsAKHS2KAeIQ_AUICigB&biw=931&bih=498

Please save these precious forests because they are the home to valuable and extinct plants and animals. Some of these plants are used for medications that help save human lives.

  6. Linda Gillan says:

These people eat pet dogs, stray dogs!! They & thier government give no regard for animal life!! They have no regard for human life either, they care about profit!!! Such a beautiful country going down the shit hole. Heartbreaking!!!

  7. I will NEVER buy palm oil & I avoid purchasing products that list it as ingredient. Boycott!

STOP THE GREED AND DESTRUCTION NOW OR NO TOURISTS, NO MONEY!

  10. Disgusting, rainforests are a home to so much life. Don’t destory them just for some money. End the greed! Do better.

  11. Jeannette Allan says:

Our precious rainforests must be saved from irretrievable destruction by greedy corporate interest. Those forests are living treasures, vital for the climate, and are irreplaceable . This depredation must be stopped immediately.

  12. Gisela Kelso says:

By destroying forests we also destroy our children’s future. Life on this planet is only possible with an intact nature. As intelligent as we claim to be, shouldn’t we protect nature in order to ensure our children’s survival on this planet? The fact that we are knowingly and out of greed putting our children’s future at risk, is totally pathetic!

  13. There are few rainforest areas left. Leave them alone for we may need it for medicines and wildlife needs it’s habitat. This is beneficial to our atmosphere and air quality.

  14. Rachel Davies says:

There must be a global outcry about this. For heaven’s sake, haven’t they seen the destruction in Indonesia due to bloody palm oil plantations. Our orangutans are nearly at extinction point ….. and still they care only about the almighty dollar. Anything containing palm oil should be marked clearly so we can boycott it. Better still, palm oil should be banned. Be vigilant, buy palm oil free products that are marked as such. Sure, it might cost a bit more, but hey, it’s do this or push our world into rapid further decline. Another example of money over morals.

  15. Palm oil is also under the guise of Vegetable Oil. Indonesians will stop at nothing.

  16. Mankind had better stop taking away and doing destructive actions to Mother Earth. Mankind needs to stop taking, taking, taking from our planet before it’s too late. We need to take good care of our planet and our environments, and give back.

  17. Christine Stewart says:

BOYCOTT PALM OIL! We don’t need palm oil- but the animals need the rain forest.

  18. gabriela torres says:

    Dear Governor Enembe,
Please, put an end to the destruction of Papua’s rainforest, and enact laws to protect and preserve the habitats of thousands of animals from future destruction.

  19. Lisa Zarafonetis says:

    Signed & shared

  20. Precious rainforests and the wildlife within them are being rapidly destroyed to satisfy the greed enabled by cheap palm oil. What is wrong with the people who don’t care about pristine forests, healthy environment and the innocent helpless animals, valuable plants (Medicines!) and undiscovered species–all this horrible destruction, mainly, just to make big corporations richer.

The wonderful humanlike (in the most positive sense) orangutans are extremely endangered. They are suffering and dying for NO good reason! STOP THIS DEVASTATION! ONCE THIS NATURAL BOUNTY IS GONE, the world will never be the same!
