Save the Atlantic Humpback Dolphin

Target: Jacob Zuma, President of Africa

Goal: Save declining Atlantic humpback dolphin population from complete extinction.

The Atlantic humpback dolphin has been uplisted from merely vulnerable to critically endangered. Less than 1,500 of these dolphins remain in existence due to habitat loss, entanglement in fishing gear, and poaching, among other threats and factors.

We cannot let this happen. These dolphins are beautiful living creatures who deserve better than to have their homes and lives taken from them by human selfishness and carelessness. The oceans are losing far too much of their wildlife in this day and age, and dolphins have been in peril for the last several decades. The Atlantic humpback dolphins have even aided humans in their fishing efforts, only to be caught in deadly gill nets for their troubles.

Conservation efforts are being made, but to little avail. The number of Atlantic humpback dolphins is decreasing by the day, and soon, there will be none remaining on this planet. Sign this petition to demand stronger conservation efforts to save this species.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear President Zuma,

Atlantic humpback dolphins have gone from merely vulnerable to critically endangered, with only 1,500 remaining in existence. The species has fallen victim to habitat loss, entanglement in fishing gear, poaching, and other disasters. The number continues to drop, and soon, these dolphins will be completely extinct.

You must aid in the strengthening of conservation efforts for this species. These beautiful, intelligent, gentle creatures deserve to live their lives in peace, away from the threats of human negligence. You must provide this species with protected areas in which to live and raise their young, where they will not be caught in fishing nets or hunted for their meat.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  1. There’s no such thing as a President of Africa. What’s the joke?

  2. Remember the old adage, “the extinction of one is the extinction of the other.” One day, the other could be us if we don’t do things to make this world a better place for all!

  3. Those so called Presidents does not care a damn about the Conservation of the wild animals …on land or in the sea. They are there to fatten their own bellies and fatten their pockets with currency and that’s all they do…

What these people do not realize is, One day in the near future, Once when these magnificent Animals are all gone and wiped out of the places where they once flourished,NO FOREIGNERS WILL BE VISITING FOR THOSE COUNTRIES FOR ANY OTHER REASONS. UNTIL TO DATE MANY VISITORS THEY GO THERE TO WATCH & ENJOY THE WILD ANIMALS AND THEIR BEAUTIFUL EXISTENCE. These countries will be falling from poor to the poorest conditions…
