Dear District Attorney Nodolf,

Sixteen dogs starved to death in a shocking case of animal cruelty. The dogs reportedly became so hungry that they ate each other. We demand justice for these innocent dogs.

Midland County Sheriff’s deputies charged Carly Jo Underwood with cruelty to non-livestock animals and torture after she allegedly left 16 dogs alone in her home for over eight months. Per authorities, the dogs were locked in crates inside of the home without access to food. By the time the dogs were found, they were all reportedly deceased and decomposed. Underwood, a former member of a dog rescue, has been arrested.

This horrific abuse cannot go unpunished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.
