Target: Dennis C. Hogan, County Attorney for Hillsborough County, New Hampshire

Goal: Demand that the man who allegedly punched his dog and tethered him outside in a snowstorm without shelter receive the maximum penalty by law.

A dog was allegedly abused and left tethered to a tree outside in the bitter cold. The suspect reportedly punched the poor dog and twisted his collar while trying to get him into a car. Demand justice for this innocent dog.

Brookline police arrested Joseph Driscoll after he allegedly punched his dog in the ribs. A witness stated that Driscoll was trying to get the dog, a one-year-old mixed breed named Slater, into his car at a convenience store and appeared to become frustrated with the dog. Per the witness, Driscoll punched Slater and then twisted his collar, causing him to yelp. When police arrived at Driscoll’s home, they reportedly found Slater tethered to a tree outside in 20-degree weather without access to appropriate shelter.

The Animal Rescue League took custody of Slater. His condition is unreported. Driscoll was charged with cruelty to animals. Sign below and demand that Driscoll receive the maximum penalty by law, if convicted.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear County Attorney Hogan,

A dog was allegedly physically abused and left outside in a snowstorm. Per a witness, the suspect punched the dog in the ribs when he wouldn’t get into the car. We demand justice for this poor dog.

Brookline police charged Joseph Driscoll with animal cruelty after he allegedly punched and choked his dog. Per a witness, Driscoll punched Slater, a one-year-old mixed breed, in the ribs and twisted his collar until he yelped in pain. Driscoll then allegedly cursed at the witness and told them to mind their own business. Police arrived at Driscoll’s home and reportedly found Slater tethered to a tree outside without shelter in 20-degree weather. Slater was taken to the Animal Rescue League and remains under their care.

This horrific abuse cannot go unpunished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,
