Per witnesses, Stewart carried a red gasoline can into the back yard shortly before the fire was ignited and later broke a window in the resident’s home as he was trying to flee. The dog’s owner reported that he also had a physical altercation with Stewart. The dog, a 60-pound pit bull named Tank, suffered burns to over 60 percent of his body, and he was covered in melted hair. Tank was described as skittish, frightened, and in pain.

Tank survived, and his current condition is unreported. Stewart has been charged with cruelty to a non-livestock animal and is now in custody. Sign below and demand that Stewart receive the maximum penalty by law, if convicted.

Dear District Attorney Ogg,

A dog suffered burns to over 60 percent of his body after his kennel was allegedly set on fire. The suspect reportedly doused the kennel in gasoline and set it ablaze with the dog still chained to the kennel. We demand justice for this poor dog.

Tank, a 60-pound pit bull, cowered in fear and pain after Edwin Jermaine Stewart allegedly set his kennel on fire. A neighbor stated that he witnessed Stewart entering Tank’s yard with a red gasoline can and immediately notified Tank’s owner. Moments later, the kennel was reportedly ablaze, and Tank remained chained to the source of the fire. Per investigators, Tank had melted hair on his back, sides, both rear legs, underbelly and groin area. Stewart was charged with animal cruelty and remains in custody.

This horrific abuse must be punished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

  1. Former Animal abusers are the worst serial killers who have become completely out of control for shedding blood baths of others. Punishment needs to be given to fit the crimes committed.

  2. Who does such a thing to any living thing ?? Any person that has that much rage towards any animal can easily carry that rage to others.. Shame we’ve to live with despicable and disgusting humans!!

  3. An absolutely disgusting way to die… Whoever abuses animals should deserve the same punishment, it’s the right thing to do. Abuses include factory farming, fur/leather farms, animal experimentation, animals used in circuses and just plain old abuse.

  4. Jacqui Skill says:

This monster who did this no longer a human and should be caged for life as a dehumanized monster! The penalty for animal abuse is not harsh enough which is why all the dehumanized monsters are still hurting and killing animals ..this justice system for animal life needs to be reformed to have harsher punishment for animal abusers!!!

  5. Pit Bulls are dangerous. No, this type of monster is dangerous.

    • The guy who set the kennel ablaze with the dog still chained to it is the dangerous one. No creature deserves to be tortured in such a way!
