Encourage Poland to Support Fur Farm Ban

Target: Piotr Wilczek, Poland Ambassador

Goal: Urge Polish parliament to support new bill to ban fur farming.

A new bill banning fur farming is being considering in Polish parliament. More than eight million animals suffer and die annually in Poland for fur and it is time to put an end to this unnecessary cruelty.

Animals on fur farms are typically packed into small cages with no access to food or water. They are often severely neglected and then are crudely killed. Common ways of killing include neck-breaking, strangulation, suffocation, anal electrocution, and gassing. An animal rights organization recently investigated five Polish fur farms and found countless animals suffering from swollen paws, inflamed gums, and severe stress.

Sign this petition and encourage the Polish parliament to support this new bill and end the suffering of millions of animals. Fur is not a necessity and it is time to put an end to this inhumane practice.

Dear Mr. Wilczek,

Polish parliament is currently debating on whether or not to consider a new bill that would ban fur farming. Banning fur farming in Poland would save 8 million animals annually from unnecessary pain and death. It is time to end this cruel practice.

An animal rights organization recently investigated five fur farms in Poland and what they found was horrifying. The animals were stuffed into overcrowded cages which caused extreme stress. This stress lead to excessive pacing, running in endless circles, and chewing and scratching on their wire cages. Many of the animals suffered from inflamed gums and swollen paws which were left untreated. After a life of this misery, the animals are killed in whatever way the industry deems most convenient. Common ways include strangulation, suffocation, and gassing.

Please consider supporting this new bill that bans fur farming. No animal should suffer and die for an article of clothing.
