Demand Priceline Stop Booking Cruel Animal Attractions

Target: Brett Keller, CEO of Priceline

Goal: Stop booking cruel attractions that exploit elephants.

The popular travel company Priceline continues to promote and offer bookings for elephant rides and camps that exploit elephants, despite knowing the horrors that happen behind the scenes. Dozens of travel companies have stopped promoting these awful attractions, and it is time Priceline do the same.

Elephants used for rides are typically taken away from their mothers when they are just babies, go through a grueling training process that often uses pain and fear tactics, and are bound for extended periods of time. Reportedly, up to half of the baby elephants who go through the initial training process die, while many are left with serious injuries. Those who survive the training process are then forced to live a life of captivity and suffering.

Sign this petition and demand Priceline stop promoting the exploitation of elephants.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Keller,

It has recently come to my attention that your company, Priceline, continues to offer bookings for attractions that exploit elephants. Elephants are incredibly intelligent and sensitive creatures, and it is time to stop abusing them for profit.

Elephants used in these camps, particularly for rides, are often taken away from their mothers at very young ages. Then, they are typically put through torturous training camps that use pain and fear tactics. Many of the elephants don’t make it out alive, and those who do are left to live a life of exploitation and misery.

Please consider no longer supporting or booking with these businesses. Many travel companies have already decided to stop their support, and it is time you do the same. Elephants should be out in the wild, roaming free, not chained and giving people rides.

Sincerely,

  4. Animal acts are so yesterday. The victorians loved them but we are no longer living in that age. People are more educated and humane and are disgusted that these cruel ‘amusements’ are still being upheld by the thoughtless and ignorant.Animal suffering has at last come to the publics’ attention and not before time. People do not need to be entertained 24/7- there are better things to do on holiday. Please avoid advertising cruelty.

  5. shut these creeps down make sure they don’t exploit any more animals for so called entertainment also the people that go to see this kind of are just as bad as the creeps that do it
