Don’t Allow Giant Coal Mine to Destroy the Environment and Endangered Species

Target: Gladys Berejiklian, Premier of New South Wales

Goal: Don’t allow mammoth coal mine to destroy Australia’s rare and unique environment.

A giant coal mine project currently being proposed for Australia will destroy the nation’s unique, rare environment. Tens of thousands of hectares of land will be disturbed to make room for the project.

Besides their land clearing and destruction, these mines will also emit record-breaking carbon emissions, in addition to wasting billions of liters of water. About 180 million tons of carbon emissions will be released, adding to global warming and its destructive effects.

Sign the petition and demand that this new mining project in Australia not be approved. The nation’s unique environment and its endangered species cannot survive.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Premier Berejiklian,

A proposed coal mine project in New South Wales will destroy nearly 40,000 hectares of land. Thousands of rare and endangered species will die and global warming and its deadly effects will increase due to more than 180 million tons of carbon emissions projected to come out of the project each year.

Australia’s environment is one of the most beautiful in the world. To allow this coal mine to move forward will rob the nation of its natural beauty. I ask that you reject the proposal for this New South Wales coal mine and protect your environment, not destroy it.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

Entre le gaz de schiste qui détruit, empoisonne et force les paysans à partir, et maintenant une mine de charbon,il fait pas bon vivre en Australie !!!!!!

  2. Don’t you have sun, wind or water in your country???
Why destroy earth if God gave you everything to use without destroying earth!!!!

This outrage must be stopped before our environment is turned into an irreversible moonscape . We are losing our precious habitats and the wildlife who live there to mendacious, mindless corporate greed . Those people care nothing for the future of the planet, nor the relentless global warming due to the deadly effects of their actions. They need to embrace the future and understand that coal mining and its environmental destruction belongs to past centuries . Wake up before it’s too late !

Please consider that the extinction of one is the extinction of us all!

  7. Corporate greed is going to destroy our beautiful planet. Stop the destruction before it’s too late!!!!! Our wildlife are already struggling to survive because so much of their land has been taken away from them. Unfortunately, our governments don’t seem to care about anything other than their own power, re-election, and lining their pockets. Very, very sad!!!!!

  8. Coal is toxic to our environment, to the public, and to wildlife. We have clean renewable energy alternatives. Stop caving to the greedy coal industry and do what is right for all. Do not allow this giant coal mine to happen!

  9. DUMP THE PROPOSED MAMMOTH COAL MINE .PROTECT THE LANDS AND WILDLIFE .

  10. This is Australia, well, there you go.

  11. I have never been so ashamed to be an Australian than I have in the past few years. The federal government and some state governments couldn’t give a shit about the environment,it’s all about bloody money. They really need to wake up and stop all this destruction before our beautiful country is destroyed…

  12. Seems no region of our planet is excluded from greed and destruction. Seems 99% of politicians globally are on the take, or get a kick-back one way or another. The only “clean” ones will stand up – have only seen one sincere person so far!
