Goal: Praise India police force for finally cracking down on sexual assault.
India is cracking down on sexual harassment and rape at long last. The country’s answer to the spike in sexual violence against women is a squad of tough female motorcyclists, who will patrol not just the streets but places such as university areas in order to stop sexual harassment and rape before they can happen.
In the past five years alone, more and more women have been sexually assaulted in India, particularly in the city of Delhi; this earned the city the nickname “rape capital.” In 2016, over 2,150 of these rapes were reported in Delhi alone. Many petitions had been circulated demanding the country put a stop to the crimes, or seeking justice for the victims such as this one on ForceChange. It is hoped that this motorcycle squad will prove to be just the solution needed.
This is a great step in women’s rights across the globe, truly something to be thankful for. Sign this petition to thank the India police force for responding to the outcry and finally doing something to protect women from sexual assault.

Thank you for addressing the growing sexual harassment and rape epidemic in your country, particularly by deploying an all-female motorcycle squad to help prevent future incidents. For years, people have been circulating petitions and outright imploring the government to crack down on rapists, but to little avail. Delhi alone was the center of over 2,000 rapes alone in 2016, and some of the victims were even murdered after they were raped.
We are very thankful that you have finally answered the call to end this sexual violence against women. We have great hope and faith that this squad of strong, tough female cops will cut down on the number of sexual assault incidents, or even bring that number down to zero within the next year. Thank you for standing up for women’s rights and safety.
