Puppy Reportedly Dragged Behind Car and Then Decapitated Deserves Justice

Target: William West, District Attorney for Cumberland County, North Carolina

Goal: Demand that a young man who is accused of assaulting his girlfriend and decapitating her puppy receive the maximum penalty by law.

A puppy was reportedly decapitated in North Carolina in a shocking case of domestic assault and animal cruelty. The puppy’s owner says that she was violently choked by her 18-year-old boyfriend, Antonio Hollywood Campbell, before he lashed out at her dog, dragging the dog behind a car before beheading him with a hatchet. We must demand justice for this young woman and her innocent puppy.

According to hospital reports, the teenage girlfriend arrived at an area hospital after her boyfriend nearly choked her to death for “talking to other men.” She claimed that three weeks before, Campbell had threatened to kill the dog if she broke up with him. When law enforcement searched her home, they discovered the puppy’s remains, along with two cinder blocks used to immobilize the dog during the attack. It is believed that Campbell had swung the dog in the air by his or her leash and dragged the poor puppy behind his vehicle before ultimately killing him with the hatchet.

Such acts of extreme violence are rarely isolated. Cases of domestic abuse and animal cruelty are often related, and the behavior tends to grow worse over time without intervention. Sign this petition and demand that this man receive the maximum penalty by law, if convicted.

Dear Mr. West,

A young woman and her puppy were subject to a horrific case of assault in Fayetteville, according to reports. The teenager claims that her boyfriend, 18-year-old Antonio Hollywood Campbell, nearly choked her to death before subjecting her dog to unthinkable cruelty. According to local officials, the dog was swung in the air by his leash, dragged behind a vehicle, and then decapitated using a hatchet.

The grisly details of this crime appear to show an assailant who is deeply disturbed and may be likely to attack again. We know that cases of animal cruelty and domestic violence too often go hand in hand. That is why we, the undersigned, demand that this young man receive the maximum penalty possible and be psychiatrically evaluated, if found guilty.

I am so sorry that puppy ever encountered this vile piece of dirt. Antonio Campbell is an 18-year-old ADULT and should be appropriately punished for such heinous animal cruelty. There are people his age in the military fighting for their country. Campbell enjoys fighting helpless animals and women. Put this abuser away as long as possible.

  5. This POS needs to be behind bars now. He is a threat to all living beings. If he can do this to an innocent animal it is only a matter of time before he does it to a human being and then it too late and that will be on the heads of those who let him walk.

  7. Alice Knight says:

I am speechless. This is beyond comprehension. My heart is in pieces for this little puppy. I don’t believe there is any reason for his actions. Please prosecute this individual to the fullest and harshest penalties. Psychiatric evaluation is certain. If allowed freedom, he will commit this act again.
Not just on innocent animals but people.

  8. I would volunteer to torture and kill this piece of crap if I was allowed and I am a gentle person . Poor little pup my heart breaks for this puppy .
