Punish Groomer Who Allegedly Broke Dog’s Jaw

Target: Ed Brodsky, State’s Attorney for Sarasota, Florida

Goal: Demand that the groomer who allegedly abused two dogs and broke one’s jaw be charged with animal cruelty and receive the maximum penalty by law.

Two dogs were allegedly abused by a groomer, and one reportedly had his jaw broken in a shocking case of animal cruelty. A video reportedly showed the groomer slamming a dog’s head on the table and choking the dog. The groomer stated that the dog had passed out from stress and she was trying to revive the dog. Demand justice for these poor dogs.

“The video speaks for itself. You can hear her yell – stop it stop it… calling the dog a swear word, slamming the dog’s head on the table after choking it out and shaking it,” stated Briana Brady, a former employee at The Happy Puppy Pet Spa. Brady became concerned after a poodle, named Pumpkin, allegedly suffered a broken jaw and a bruised abdomen following a grooming session. She recorded a video that reportedly showed the groomer, Phyllis Lucca, mishandling another dog and posted it online. The video has been viewed over 200,000 times and shared nearly 24,000 times.

Pumpkin received treatment and is recovering. The other dog’s condition is unreported. The state’s attorney is investigating, but charges have not yet been filed. Sign below and demand that Phyllis Lucca be charged with animal cruelty and that she receive the maximum penalty by law, if convicted.

Dear State’s Attorney Brodsky,

Two dogs were allegedly abused while attending a grooming session at The Happy Puppy Pet Spa. One dog reportedly suffered a broken jaw, a bruised abdomen, and a cut on his ear. We demand justice for these innocent dogs.

Briana Brady, a former employee at The Happy Puppy Pet Spa, became concerned after a poodle reportedly suffered a broken jaw following a grooming session with Phyllis Lucca. She decided to record Lucca grooming another dog and posted the shocking video online. The video reportedly depicted Lucca choking, shaking, and slamming the dog’s head onto a table. Lucca could reportedly be heard swearing at the helpless dog and appeared frustrated.

This horrific abuse cannot go unpunished. We demand that you file charges against Lucca and seek the maximum penalty by law.
