Stop Subjecting Citizens to Brutal Forced Labor

Target: Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Uzbekistan

Goal: Stop subjecting citizens to forced labor in Uzbekistan’s cotton fields.

Hundreds of thousands of citizens in Uzbekistan are being subjected to brutal forced labor by their government. Students, teachers, and even doctors are forced to pick cotton. Anyone who speaks out against the government must toil in the fields as punishment.

The government recently released 200,000 citizens from this intense labor, but many thousands more remain. Journalists, writers, and others continue to be arrested. Even those who have been released must pay fines to support another laborer who will take their place.

This brutal, barbaric abuse of human rights must be brought to an end immediately. Sign the petition and urge the nation’s president to end forced labor now and forever.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear President Mirziyoyev,

Hundreds of thousands of your own citizens have toiled in cotton fields, forced by your government to work in extreme conditions due to their opinions. From teachers to doctors, no one is spared.

While you have released 200,000 laborers, there is still much work to be done. Forced labor should not be punishment for the opinions one holds. I demand that you end forced labor in your country now and forever.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
