Justice for Kitten Abandoned in Trash Can

Target: Lisa Thayer-Welch, State’s Attorney for Garrett County, Maryland

Goal: Demand that the person who left a kitten in a trash can to die receive the maximum penalty under law.

A kitten nearly died after she was abandoned in a trash can. The kitten was found buried under 40 pounds of garbage. Demand justice for this innocent kitten.

“It takes a truly callous person to treat a defenseless kitten like she is nothing more than trash to be thrown away and left to die,” stated Emily Hovermale, state director of Maryland’s Humane Society of the United States. The kitten, named Little Black Beauty by her rescuer, received veterinary care and was deemed healthy. If she hadn’t been found, then she could have suffocated or been crushed by the trash compactor.

Little Black Beauty is safely in the custody of the Garrett County Humane Society. The Humane Society has offered a $5,000 reward for anyone who can help them identify the person who abandoned Little Black Beauty. Sign below and demand that the person responsible receive the maximum penalty under law.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear State’s Attorney Thayer-Welch,

An 8-week-old kitten was abandoned in a trash can and nearly died. Her rescuer found her buried under 40 pounds of garbage, where she could have suffocated. We demand justice for this poor kitten.

A Broadford Lake Park employee rescued Little Black Beauty from a trash can in the park. It is unknown how long Little Black Beauty was in the trash can, but she could have been crushed by the trash compactor if not rescued in time. The Humane Society of the United States believes that this was an act of aggravated animal cruelty and has offered a reward for the capture of the person responsible.

This horrific cruelty cannot go unpunished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,

It is hard to believe that HUMAN beings act like that – no compassion for helpless creatures, no decency of character – after all, there are probably many people who would have taken this kitten and treated it with love and care! So why not give it away instead of dumping it so cruelly?

i wonder what brave human being did such a sickening thing, to do this to a small helpless creature, i hope they suffer in their life time.

  3. Debra Mcgarry says:

It is so hard to believe that a person or persons can be so cruel to a defenseless little kitten. I give them too much credit calling them”person!”. I am happy that the kitten was rescued. The person or person should worry about karma!

  4. Kelly Hughart says:

Whenever I hear about somebody doing a crappy thing like this, it makes me sick to my stomach. I hope they find whoever did this and put him or her away for life! Thank God the kitten was alive and well when it was found. Hopefully, somebody who loves animals will adopt the kitten and give it a permanent, loving home.

  5. This revolting low life is devoid of any human goodness, kindness, or sense of what is right and acceptable. He/she is an evil, cowardly apology for a human being who should be held up as an example to any other lout who believes he can hold laws in contempt with no comeback. Find and crucify this maggot- he will not be missed.

Please get this person, they deserve everything that comes to them!.

  7. JUSTICE FOR LITTLE BLACK THE CAT NOW. MUST FIND THE TURD WHO DID THIS NOW.
