Don’t Appoint Opponent of Endangered Species Act to Federal Position

Target: Senator Tom Udall, United States Senate Committee on Appropriations (Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies)

Goal: Protect the nation’s endangered species by declining the nomination of an opponent of the Endangered Species Act to a federal position.

A staunch opponent of the Endangered Species Act may soon have a position in the very federal department that decides the fate of these endangered species. Texas comptroller Susan Combs is Donald Trump’s nomination for a position in the Department of the Interior.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is a sub-department in the Interior and decides the fate of our nation’s most at-risk species. However, Combs has built a career on favoring big corporations and special interests over the needs and survival of endangered animals.

Combs cannot be given such a pivotal and important position in a department she doesn’t believe in or care about. Sign the petition and ask that the Senate reject her nomination and protect our nation’s endangered species.

Dear Senator Udall,

Donald Trump has nominated Susan Combs of Texas for a position in the Department of the Interior, which oversees the fate of our nation’s endangered species. However, Combs has spoken out against the Interior’s Fish and Wildlife Service, condemning and criticizing it.

Combs does not care about the department she will be sworn to protect. She does not care about the well-being of our endangered species. She only cares about special interest groups. I ask that you and your fellow senators reject Combs’s nomination.

Tjis is not Star Trek and we do not live in a bubnle, please use good sense and cobscience, doont appoint Susan Combs. I pains me that a woman could be so ruthless concerning living creates snd ecological balance. No Susan Combs. She needs to rethink her morals and decide how she wants her life to to good, not promote a caloused support of greed and neglegence. Judith Weber Republican
