Force AMC Theatres to stop discrimination

Target: people against the discrimination of the handicapped,

Help stop AMC Theatres from practicing discrimination against the handicapped. I have a friend who is paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair who worked for AMC as a ticket taker. Due to her handicap, she is unable to dress herself, and her husband (she is a wife and mom) would have to come to the theater each time to put her uniform on her.

AMC has a policy at their theater that employees are unable to give free concessions to friends and family. (The spirit behind this policy makes sense if a particular employee is repeatedly giving out concessions). That being said, one day my friend had a beverage balancing on the arm of her wheelchair. It was her drink and was filled to the brim. Her husband was there dressing her, and she was concerned that he was going to accidentally knock it over as he was putting on her clothes. So he took a single sip, simply to lower the fluid level, and put the drink down. Her supervisor saw this and she was immediately let go for giving away free concessions.

Even though this was the supposed reason, it has become clear that she was let go because of her paralysis, and this was a guise under which to terminate her. AMC has been unwilling to take, much less file, a complaint against management. Please sign this petition, forcing AMC to acknowledge the real reason why my friend was terminated and for management to reprimanded for their discriminatory practices.
