Man Accused of Ripping Dog’s Tail From Spine Must be Punished

Target: Jack Campbell, State Attorney for Leon County, Florida

Goal: Demand that the man accused of ripping a dog’s tail from his spine receive the maximum penalty under law.

A dog suffered a dislocated tail and other injuries allegedly caused by severe abuse. The dog’s tail had to be amputated due to the severity of the injury. The suspect denied abusing the dog, stating that he would never hurt him. Demand justice for this innocent dog.

When a woman learned of her dog’s unusual behavior, she immediately brought him to a local animal hospital. There, a veterinarian reportedly found swelling and bruising in the dog’s inner left leg, trauma to his anus, and a tail that was completely dislocated from his spine. The veterinarian advised litigators that the trauma appeared non-accidental.

The dog was living with the woman’s ex-boyfriend, Matthew Manderfield, when he was injured. Manderfield was arrested and charged with felony cruelty to animals. Sign below and demand that Manderfield receive the maximum penalty under law, if convicted.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear State Attorney Campbell,

A dog suffered serious trauma when he was allegedly subjected to a severe ripping of his tail. Veterinarians reportedly found trauma to the dog’s anus and his tail was completely dislocated, leading to its amputation. We demand justice for this innocent dog.

The dog’s owner immediately contacted Manderfield when she learned of her dog’s trauma. Though Manderfield denied hurting the dog, the dog’s owner claimed that he was verbally abusive to her during their relationship. The dog was allegedly in Manderfield’s care when he was injured, and investigators found no evidence of anyone else being in the house at the time.

This horrific abuse cannot go unpunished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case, if the accused is found guilty.

Sincerely,
