Do Not Put Immigrant Parents at Risk of Deportation

Target: John F. Kelly, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security

Goal: Demand the Department of Homeland Security replace cancelled policy protecting immigrant parents.

President Trump has formally cancelled an Obama-era policy protecting immigrant parents of legal United States citizens from deportation. This could separate even the youngest children living in the country from their parents, simply because those parents were born outside of the States.

This is unacceptable, just like every other attempt by Trump to make America as unfriendly and hostile to immigrants as possible. This anti-immigration bias has been clear since day one, and his cancellation of such an important policy is just as cruel and unnecessary as the travel ban and every other attempt to impose his xenophobia on U.S. policy.

This policy must be put back in place immediately. Families must not be forcibly separated by this cruel, selfish move. Sign this petition to demand the protection policy for immigrant parents remain in place.

Dear Secretary Kelly,

President Trump’s cancellation of the policy protecting immigrant parents from deportation is cruel and selfish, and you should not have gone along with it. Without this policy, many families will be forcibly separated, including ones with young children who will be punished simply for being born to immigrants.

Immigration is a key factor in what already made America great. Trump’s anti-immigration bias is going to destroy this country, and is completely unnecessary. It is much too important to cancel, and families do not deserve to be forcibly separated simply because the parents were not born in this country.

Keep America great by protecting immigrants from hateful bias. Put the policy back in place immediately.
