Target: Governor of California Jerry Brown
Goal: Ban motorcycles and cars with large mufflers that produce a lot of pollution within the state of California.
It is no surprise that the pollution within California’s metropolitan areas is a major issue. One of the things adding to the ongoing pollution problem is the use of motorcycles and cars with large mufflers that produce a lot of air pollution. Motorcycles, when accelerating or riding up steep slopes, produce an unprecedented amount of air pollution. The air pollution caused by the motorcycles makes it very difficult for people to breathe. Aside from the air pollution, motorcycles and vehicles with large mufflers cause many more problems such as noise pollution. When a motorcycle or vehicle with a large muffler accelerates, it creates a large amount of noise. This is damaging to people’s ears and can even do permanent damage to children’s ears. This again, forces people to hear and breathe something that they normally would not want to breathe or listen to under regular circumstances.
A solution to this air and noise pollution caused by motorcycles and vehicles with large mufflers would be to completely remove them from the state of California. It may seem like a difficult task, but it is something that must be done and can be done if put into action. The governor of the state of California could create a bill that would hopefully be passed by Congress prohibiting the use of motorcycles and vehicles with large mufflers and could make it illegal for anyone to use them. Instead, people would only be allowed to use regular, more efficient cars that do not produce as much pollution. This would solve a lot of problems and even help prevent future problems that would arise as a result. Similarly, it would also be a more cost efficient and more “green” way to help minimize air and noise pollution. This would allow the state of California to not have to spend as much time nor money trying to create another way to minimize pollution.
Please sign this petition to say that it is time for the state of California to be “greener” and to set a good example to other states in creating a more time and cost-efficient way to minimize air and noise pollution. Encourage the state of California to remove motorcycles and cars with large mufflers and to make it illegal for anyone to drive them. They produce too much air and noise pollution which we and the precious Earth cannot afford to endure any longer.
Dear Governor of the State of California Jerry Brown,
I am kindly yet strongly urging you to do something about the air and noise pollution problem caused by motorcycles and vehicles with large mufflers. It has reached the point where people of California will put up with it no longer. Please create a law that will remove all motorcycles and vehicles with large mufflers from California and that will make it illegal for anyone to drive them here.
This would be a very easy, quick and cost-efficient solution in helping minimize the air and noise pollution. I am sure that you already know the damage that is caused by these types of vehicles. They produce an unprecedented amount of air and noise pollution, which, by allowing them on the roads, does nothing in helping with the problem. Please think about this and think about the damage that these machines cause. In doing so, please consider putting into action my proposals.
Thank you for your time and for seriously considering my concerns.
