Stop People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals from Killing Pets

file0001629702072

Target: People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals

Goal: Stop the euthanization of almost all animals in PETA’s care

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is an organization that claims to protect the rights of animals. However, their methods of doing so are often questionable. There is now evidence that in addition to these questionable methods, PETA does not even save animals. In fact, they are directly responsible for the deaths of thousands of cats and dogs.

Recently, documents have been released showing exactly how many animals under PETA’s care were euthanized. These documents show that in the past year alone, more than 90% of animals ‘rescued’ by PETA have been killed, and over 25,000 animals have been killed in the past decade. These numbers are shocking, especially coming from an organization claiming to protect animals. PETA’s media liaison Jane Dollinger said in a statement that the organization only euthanizes animals because of ‘injury, illness, age, aggression, or because no good homes exist for them.’ However, an investigation into PETA’s shelters shows that most of the animals rescued are killed within 24 hours of arriving at the facilities. This does not allow much time to determine if there is a good home for them.

This careless killing of animals shows that PETA does not care as much for animals as they claim. If they truly wanted to protect animals, they would spend their resources on fixing their shelters to hold more animals or helping other shelters care for animals. Instead, they ‘rescue’ the animals from people and shelters they deem cruel, and then kill these same animals because they are ‘unadoptable’. Tell PETA to stop this cruel cycle and to stop killing these animals.

Dear People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals,

Documents have recently been released that prove your organization has killed over 90% of the animals received at your shelters. This is both unnecessary cruel to the animals, and entirely contradictory to the purpose of your organization. Most of these animals are not given the chance to go to a good home as they are killed within 24 hours of being received at the shelters.

I ask you to stop this cruel act of killing these animals. Unnecessarily killing animals without an attempt to find a good home for them is certainly not ‘ethical treatment’. There are much better ways to protect animals. I urge you to find a way to save animals from unsafe environments without killing them soon after.

Sincerely,

Before you withdraw your support, find out the truth. Write to PETA and tell them of your concerns. If you are not satisfied with their answer, then withdraw your support. But don’t listen to people who have a vested interest in seeing PETA fail.

    • I doubt one would get much more than a form letter from PeTA. I can do what you suggest and post the response on my FB page. Their snail mail address is easy enough to find, I am sure. I would just have to wonder that if I support one of PeTA’s victims to them, if they would then have my home raided and my cats killed and if they would employ a SWAT team (which seems to be the way the trend is going).

This is propaganda people. Take a closer look at the source. This is big industry trying to support agribusiness by attacking it’s greatest opponents. They don’t care about pets or any animal or you for that matter. They attack all the brave people raising awareness on the state of our environment, the manipulation of our food and the cruelty of factory farming (which is why they attack PETA here). It has zero to do with caring for pets. Trust me, these people would sell your pets for meat if they could. I just joined force change and this is the first thing I see you post. Not very inspiring.

  3. PETA does much good, but if this is true then they need to rethink how animals fit into their ideology. For many years I gave money to PETA but when this came out years ago I started to aid other organizations. Now, this is back again. Let’s get to the bottom of this and prove one way or the other where PETA stands.

  4. Bullshit,I used work for Peta,I know exactly wot they do and how they do it,tis why I resigned.

Stop pet breeding (cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, etc.), make all breedings illegal, care for the ones who are already alive yet, and there won’t be any unwanted pets to be killed.
Surely, it’s not right that even PETA beside all kill shelters kill all the unwanted pets left behind from our throwaway society, but as long as we buy new breeded pets we shouldn’t be surprised of all the daily killings.
BAN ALL PET BREEDINGS – CARE FOR THE ONES ALREADY ALIVE – and when all of them will be gone someday CARE FOR THE EXTANT NATURE AND WILDLIFE !
