Justice for Man Hospitalized After Alleged Police Brutality

Target: Kater Williams, Police Chief of Dothan, Alabama

Goal: Fire officer who allegedly assaulted a man, injuring him so badly that he was hospitalized for 146 days.

Police allegedly brutalized a man, leaving him hospitalized for 146 days. The victim, Samuel Tew, says that his elbow has a cracked radial head and he will have to undergo surgery for his wrist. Tew’s also has damage from where police allegedly grabbed his arm and violently bent it backward. According to the victim, he’s been assaulted several times in recent months. Additional details surrounding the alleged assault have yet to be released, but it appears that the police aren’t even investigating the matter.

If police brutality claims, like this one, continue to go on without any repercussions or so much as an investigation, what will stop them from going even further? Police brutality seems to be a rampant issue that grows by the week. That is why it’s important that we put pressure on the authorities to do the right thing and start holding police officers responsible when they commit brutality crimes. Please add your signature to the petition below to demand that the police who did this be fired indefinitely, if guilty

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Chief Williams,

A man had to spend over 100 days in the hospital after he was allegedly assaulted by police. The victim, whose arm is still in a sling, says he will have to have surgery on his wrist. He also says that he has a lot of damage in his arm and shoulder because police bent it backward.

It’s appalling that an officer could behave in this manner and not even face repercussions. We, the undersigned, demand that the officer be fired, if guilty of using excessive force.

Sincerely,

he needs care not be arrested!

  2. I agree with the petitioner that police brutality seems to be getting worse all the time. They arrogantly think they have the right to abuse and brutalize people.
The alleged vicious attacks on this man Samuel Tew MUST be investigated. But not by the police. By an impartial independent investigator.
Cops MUST be held accountable for their actions. And those in authority who cover up for them MUST be removed from their positions.

  3. Fire and bring the officer to justice who allegedly assaulted and injuring the poor man so badly that he was hospitalized for a long period of time.

Please stop this grope-dynamic attitude in form of We-and-Them-Mentality. Some Police officers are not more mature than bully kids at the school.

The strength is NOT in the quantity of people, the strength is in the quality of each and everyone that are aware of his or her behavior towards his fellow human being and without self abnegation take responsibility of his own act.
