Dairy Supplier Accused of Abuse Must Improve Standards

Target: Richard Waybright, President of Mason Dixon Farms

Goal: Demand dairy supplier accused of abuse clean up their act.

Severe animal abuse was reportedly caught on video at Mason Dixon Farms. An employee was fired for allegedly kicking and pushing the cows. Reportedly, animals at the farm are forced to live in dangerous conditions, while there also appears to be little regard for the safety of workers who are forced to handle dangerous chemicals without protective clothing or masks.

This is unacceptable. Petitions are going around demanding companies such as Land O’ Lakes and the Dairy Farmers of America drop Mason Dixon, but that alone is not enough. The company’s facilities appear to be extremely unsafe and the treatment of both workers and cows alike is unethical and cruel. Getting the DFA and Land O’ Lakes to drop them is only part of the solution — we must also demand that Mason Dixon clean up their act and implement safer rules and regulations around their facilities.

This company must be held accountable for their unsafe and unethical actions. Sign this petition to demand Mason Dixon Farms make their facilities safer for their workers, and enforce the protection and safety of their cows.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Waybright,

Your company’s apparently unsafe work environment and severe animal abuse were recently caught on video. Employees were reportedly shown beating and kicking cows, while the conditions of the facility seemed deplorable. It has also been revealed that your workers are allegedly made to handle dangerous chemicals without proper protection.

This must stop. As a major dairy supplier, you have a responsibility to the public to provide safe, cruelty-free milk and milk products. Firing one employee who kicked a cow is only the beginning. You must enforce rules to protect cows from further beatings and abuse, and improve the conditions in which they live. You must protect your workers from the dangers of poisoning and sickness with a rule that protective clothing and gear must be worn while handling chemicals.

Please clean up your act. Cows and workers deserve so much better.

Sincerely,

If the workers are abusing poor caws, we do NOT care that they are handling dangerous chemicals! PLEASE protect innocent caws from mean nasty workers!

  2. Let the voice of reason prevail; it’s time to get rid of abusive animal workers.

  3. These sadistic workers should be fully prosecuted, and imprisoned for their terrible cruelty to the poor cows.
Abuse of cows at dairy farms is RAMPANT. Not only by the individual people working there, but the general living conditions for the animals are usually horrific.
Please help end the cruelty and help shut down factory farms, including dairy farms, by going vegan.
Dairy farms are already losing profits because of the popularity of alternatives to dairy products such as almond, rice, coconut and other milks and products. That is GOOD NEWS for diary farm animals. We don’t need dairy, and we don’t need to support this cruel business.

    • How can you call any of these other products milk have you ever seen tuts on an almond?if you do not know what you are talking about don’t comment not all farms are bad most of you people would stave

      • It’s kind of silly to have a problem with calling these products milk. They look like milk and taste similar to milk. If you prefer, we could call them nectar or something. I have no problem with that.
I actually do know what I’m talking about. I’ve done a fair amount of research about farming and most of the farms seem pretty horrible. The very few that actually treat the animals decently, eventually end up sending the animals to the same slaughterhouses as most other animals go to. The slaughterhouses are really houses of horror for the poor animals. It’s a torturous and terrifying way to end their lives.
People can live long and healthy lives without eating animal products. Yes we need to supplement with some nutrients, but then most people do that anyway.
It’s a matter of learning and practicing love and compassion for our fellow animals, who we are no better than, though we may think we are.
