Sherman was euthanized to ease his suffering. The child was bitten on the forehead and received medical treatment. Kazukauskas was charged with aggravated animal cruelty. Sign below and demand that Kazukauskas receive the maximum penalty under law, if convicted.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear State’s Attorney Glasgow,

A dog was reportedly confined to a garage and attacked with an ax after he bit a child. Per the veterinarian, the owner admitted to trying to kill the dog and leaving him in the garage overnight before euthanizing him. We demand justice for this poor dog.

Kazukauskas told police that Sherman jumped a gate during the night and bit his 6-year-old son. In response, Kazukauskas reportedly brought Sherman out to the garage and began hitting him with an ax. Sherman suffered serious wounds to his body and head, but did not die until he was euthanized over eight hours later.

This cruelty cannot go unpunished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,

Maximum Penalty NOW for man who allegedly attacked his dog with an axe, and then left him in a garage to suffer!!!! This is nothing short of Blatant Animal Abuse, and it is Unacceptable!!!

  2. Anne Moeller Anne Moeller says:

This IN- humane man should be put in the garage in a very small cage and left to rot in hell !

  3. Lauren Strylowski says:

This is beyond disturbing. This poor dog did not deserve this, the dog was co fined in the garage he did not need to go back out there with an axe to try to murder it and than leave it to suffer. There are 24 hour vets near, he could have called animal control, he could left the dog unharmed until the morning and than make a decision like any sane person would. I would never trust this person around any animal or even a human being for that matter ever again.

    • I also emailed the Will County State attorney prosecuting the case and said he needs the MAX penalty!! I urge others to as well.
Court date is this Monday at 1:30PM
Also emailed his employer (was on LinkedIn but taken down now) to ask them if they really want this THING representing the company and they said as of 6-6-17 he is no longer employees there…GOOD
I hope his life is ruined. This made me sick. I can’t stop thinking about that poor dog.
Why didn’t the wife help the dog??? I’m sure it was screaming?
These people shouldn’t be raising kids…disgusting

  4. NO GOOD TURD LIKE THIS NEEDS THE ELECTRIC CHAIR NOW FOR HANDLING THE SITUATION LIKE THIS NOW.JUSTICE FOR SHERMAN THE GREAT DOG.

  5. I would just disembowel the effer.

  6. I agree with Kathryn Irby unconditional.

  7. I bet the brat was abusing the dog and that day he just has done justice for the brat to learn. This stupid father from and east country, went to USA, and doesn’t give proper education to the son we can see that. I hope the son soon than later kills him with an ax and also than he would be murder by others in prison, that is karma.
