Fire and Punish Cops Who Allegedly Tasered and Falsely Arrested Woman

Target: Colonel Jon Belmar, St. Louis County Chief of Police

Goal: Permanently fire and punish officer who reportedly tasered and falsely arrested woman who did nothing wrong.

A black woman was reportedly tasered repeatedly and falsely arrested by police who claimed she was blocking traffic. The officer didn’t even warn the woman or give her a chance to comply before unleashing the alleged string of relentless shocks, according to a lawsuit. Kristine Hendrix, a 36-year-old mother and University City School Board member, was only walking along the sidewalk at a peaceful march against police misconduct when the incident occurred. Hendrix, who was arrested and detained, was later acquitted of the charges.

The city of St. Louis as well as the police department are now facing a lawsuit for the alleged brutality used on Hendrix. The lawsuit alleged that officers Louis Wilson and Stephen Ogunjobi used excessive force on the victim. The lawsuit states that the police “violated any reasonable standard of public safety and human decency.” It seems police had no excuse for brutalizing or even arresting this poor woman. It’s time that police officers stop getting away with these disgusting crimes against innocent people. Please sign the petition below to demand that the two officers involved be severely punished and fired, if guilty.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Colonel Belmar,

An innocent black woman was walking along the sidewalk during a peaceful march against police misconduct when two officers reportedly began shocking her with a stun gun. She was then falsely arrested and detained, but later acquitted of the bogus charges. The woman wasn’t warned before the attack, nor was she given a chance to comply, according to a lawsuit filed against the city and police department.

The police claimed that the victim was blocking traffic, but that does not excuse their excessive force and violent behavior. It seems the two officers abused their power and used excessive force against a harmless, innocent woman who did nothing to warrant the abuse. We, the undersigned, demand that the officers be fired and severely punished if guilty.

Sincerely,

Fire and Punish Cop who allegedly Tasered and Falsely Arrested Woman NOW!!! (It is for such reasons as this that cops should be sued!!) It is PAST TIME THAT COPS BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR KILLINGS OF INNOCENT PEOPLE!!!

  2. If they are guilty, these cops should be fired and fully prosecuted for assault. It’s a serious abuse of power and a betrayal of public trust to brutalize someone like this. If guilty, they should be put in prison where they belong, to serve lengthy sentences.
