Justice for Dogs Poisoned to Death

Target: Zacharias Chrysostomou, Chief of the Cyprus Police

Goal: Find and punish person responsible for the cruel poisoning of three dogs.

Three dogs were recently found in extreme pain after being poisoned. A video taken by the witness showed the dogs twitching and convulsing on the ground, otherwise unable to move. The witness who found the dogs rushed them to an animal hospital, where a veterinarian could only manage to save one. The other two died what can only be described as a painful and torturous death.

The community of Kofinou in Cyprus is shocked by these findings. Some suspect that the dogs, all small dogs of differing breeds, were strays or stolen from their owners. There is currently outrage among pet owners in the area.

The witness says that he saw a white double-cabin pickup truck driving away from the scene as he approached. He was unable to get a license plate number or a description of the person leaving the scene, though he did find two vials, which authorities will test for poison and fingerprints. Police are currently investigating, and are asking the public to come forward with any information that may lead to the arrest of the person responsible.

The deliberate poisoning of animals is an illegal act that is punishable by law. In order to protect more animals from the same gruesome fate, it is imperative that the person responsible is found as quickly as possible. Sign the petition below to demand that police work hard to find and charge the person responsible.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Chrysostomou,

Three dogs were recently found twitching and convulsing, unable to move. The animals were transported to a veterinarian, where two died painful and torturous deaths. It is suspected that the dogs were poisoned — two discarded vials were left at the scene. Some suspect that the dogs were strays or were stolen from their yards. Pet owners in the area are outraged and worried about the safety of their own pets.

In order to save more dogs from similar horrific fates, it is imperative that the person responsible is found and punished. We, the undersigned, ask you to dedicate extra resources to this case in order to quickly apprehend the person responsible.

Sincerely,
