Homeless Woman Allegedly Set on Fire By Boyfriend Deserves Justice

Target: Thomas J. Spota, District Attorney for Suffolk County, New York

Goal: Demand the maximum penalty for the man who allegedly set his girlfriend on fire after they had a fight.

A homeless woman was reportedly set on fire while she was sleeping. Per police, her boyfriend doused her in accelerant and set her ablaze after they’d had a fight. Demand justice for this innocent woman.

Riverhead police and the Riverhead Volunteer Fire Department responded to a call of a brush fire, where they found a burned woman in need of medical attention. The unidentified woman suffered burns to her lower legs, face, and hands before she could extinguish the flames on her body. She claimed that her boyfriend, Ryan Osborne, set her on fire because they’d had a fight earlier in the day.

The woman received medical attention but her condition is unreported. Osborne was arrested and charged with felony aggravated criminal contempt, felony second degree assault, and fifth degree arson. Sign below and demand that Osborn receive the maximum penalty by law, if convicted.

Dear District Attorney Spota,

A homeless woman suffered multiple burns after she was reportedly set on fire by her own boyfriend. Per police reports, the woman had previously filed an order of protection against this man. We demand justice for this woman.

Osborne described himself as “a man that is learning from his past to have a brighter future. Positive vibes, nothing but love” on his Facebook page. The same man allegedly doused his girlfriend and her tent in accelerant and set them on fire. The menacing act caused a brush fire which also injured a firefighter.

This man must be punished for this gruesome act. We demand that you take a stand against domestic violence and seek the maximum penalty in this case.

  2. Gene Sengstake says:

The “maximum penalty” in this should be a no-brainer. Execute the bastard and be done with it. But then he’s just a poor human being who made a mistake. A little rehab and he’ll be just fine – – –

  3. Alejandra Vega says:

Punish him, send him to jail for the rest of his life, but protect this woman too. She cannot go back to the streets after the medical treatment.

  4. Wendy Morrison says:

Set this idiot on fire and let him burn while rendering no help from anyone and no medical attention too!

  5. This man needs to be sent to a mental institution for life because he obviously has some kind of mental disorder . I think Jail would be too easy for him being locked up and have an all the privileges that jails . I don’t know maybe somebody should Douse his finger in gasoline and set it on fire . Now he can get a taste a little bit of a taste what that poor girl went to
