Demand Company Stop Drowning Snakes

Target: Ryan Marshall, CEO of Pulte Group

Goal: Change the plastic erosion-control netting to a biodegradable and wildlife-safe netting to prevent further injury and death to snakes.

A new community being built is using plastic erosion-control netting, which is causing countess snakes injury and death. Pulte Group, the company that is building the community, has been ignoring the public’s pleas to remove the netting. It is time to stop these unnecessary deaths and replace the netting.

The netting surrounds a pond around which the community is being built. Snakes are getting tangled in the plastic netting which not only leads to injury, but in some cases death. Many of the snakes are drowning due to getting caught on the waterline of the pond. Biodegradable netting with a wildlife-safe weave is available, but Pulte Group seems to keep ignoring the public’s pleas to get rid of this deadly plastic netting.

Sign this petition and demand Pulte Group replace the plastic netting with the wildlife-safe, biodegradable netting. Such a simple change would spare so many lives from pain and death.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Marshall,

Pulte Group is currently building a community around a small pond in Canton, Georgia. Your company has been using plastic erosion-control netting which has caused injury and death to countless snakes. It is time to remove this netting and replace it with an animal-friendly alternative.

The plastic netting is causing many snakes to get tangled and trapped, which leads to injury and even death. Some of the snakes are drowning due to getting caught on the edge of the pond. Thankfully, there is a solution to this problem. Biodegradable netting with wildlife-safe weave is available.

Please consider replacing the plastic netting with a new wildlife-safe netting. It is an easy change that will spare countless snakes from unnecessary pain and death.

Sincerely,

I know most people don’t care about snakes but they feel fear and pain just like we do. Please consider replacing the plastic netting with a new wildlife-safe netting. It is an easy change that will spare countless snakes from unnecessary pain and death.

    • It’s really too bad that many people don’t care about snakes. Contrary to a certain religion, snakes are not responsible for “original sin” and are not evil. They are awesome and amazing creatures, and are often very loving.
Yes they have emotions and feelings just like any other animal including humans. Cruelty toward snakes is no different than cruelty toward anyone else.

  2. DUMP THE PLASTIC NETTING THAT IS KILLING THE SNAKES NOW.
