Success: White Supremacist Removed From National Security Council

Target: H.R. McMaster, National Security Adviser

Goal: Praise removal of Stephen Bannon from the National Security Council.

Thanks in part to petitions like ForceChange’s Keep White Supremacist Steve Bannon Out of the White House, Donald Trump has removed Bannon from the National Security Council. Bannon’s removal was part of a series of staff changes that promoted intelligence and military officials within the council.

Bannon’s appointment to the National Security Council was met with public backlash, as he possesses no national security experience. In addition, he was formerly the chair of Breitbart News, an extremely conservative news organization with views aligned with the “alt-right” movement. Bannon has openly expressed views consistent with white supremacy and neo-Nazism.

Bannon’s publicly bigoted views make him an incredibly inappropriate choice to play any role in the White House. While he has been removed from the National Security Council, he remains a close adviser to Donald Trump, which sets a dangerous precedent for the possible promotion of bigotry in the Trump administration. While White House officials have suggested that Bannon’s removal is not a demotion, this is an important step toward removing a known white supremacist from a powerful government position. By signing this petition, you will applaud that Bannon is no longer on the National Security Council.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear General McMaster,

Steve Bannon, a known white supremacist with no national security experience, has been removed from the National Security Council thanks to a series of changes including promotions and demotions. Bannon’s history with the neo-Nazi “alt-right” movement, plus his very public and bigoted views of minority groups, make him an incredibly inappropriate choice to play any role in the White House, especially with regard to concerns of national security.

I ask that in your future work on the National Security Council, you distance yourself from the views and values held by Mr. Bannon and approach national security issues with an open and tolerant attitude. Thank you for the part you played in removing Steve Bannon from the National Security Council.

Sincerely,

I have not heard so much rubbish, Bannon speaks the truth and is not anti-Black. But these closed minds who are so anti-Trump wouldn’t know the difference between a Black Panther or the KKK.

  2. I don’t know what Bannon is. He’s a very confusing person. In some ways he seems like a white supremacist, but having worked for the Jewish investment bank Goldman Sachs and having been the executive chair of very pro-Israel Breitbart News, it seems he may actually be a Zionist.
Whatever the case, all racial supremacism of any type should be rooted out of the American government. Zionists – otherwise known as Jewish Supremacists – Jared Kushner (Trump’s son-in-law) and David Friedman should both be fired, as well as all other Jewish, white and any other supremacists in government.

    thank you mcmaster!
