Praise Company for Ending Support of Fur Industry

Target: Jack Schwefel, CEO of Dutch

Goal: Praise Dutch for no longer using fur in its products.

Dutch, a company which oversees the popular clothing companies Equipment, Current/Elliot, and Joie, has made the compassionate choice to ban fur. Dutch has now joined fellow clothing brands J.Crew, H&M, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, and Gap Inc. in the fight against fur.

Animals trapped on fur farms are denied everything natural to them. They are typically kept in small, dirty cages where they have limited access to food, sunshine and clean water. Life on fur farms is extremely detrimental to animals’ mental and physical well-being. Each day is filled with fear and pain, and then their lives are cut short. The animals are killed in whatever way the industry deems most convenient. Common ways include neck-breaking, strangulation, suffocation, poisoning and anal electrocution.

Sign this petition and praise Dutch for no longer supporting the cruel fur industry. No animal should be tortured and killed for an article of clothing.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Schwefel,

Recently, Dutch decided to make a compassionate change and ban fur. This is great news for the countless animals trapped within the fur industry.

As you now know, animals trapped in the fur industry face a variety of mental and physical challenges daily. They are often kept in small, dirty cages where they have limited access to food, clean water and sunshine. After a life full of misery and pain, they are killed much before their time in incredibly crude ways.

Thank you for joining fellow clothing companies J.Crew, H&M, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and Gap Inc. in the fight against fur. We can only hope your choice inspires more companies to ban fur in their products.

Sincerely,

  1. Thank you for banning fur! This will help in the fight to close all fur farms, which cruelly abuse the poor animals.
