Punish People Who Allegedly Neglected 60 Dogs and Exotic Birds

Target: Patrick Burrus Jones, District Attorney for Houston County, Alabama

Goal: Demand the maximum penalty for the people who reportedly kept 60 dogs and exotic birds in deplorable conditions.

Sixty dogs and an unreported number of exotic birds were reportedly neglected and kept in deplorable conditions. Photos reportedly showed the animals living in small cages and surrounded by their own filth. Demand justice for these innocent animals.

“It is a sad situation when animals suffer from cruelty situations and abuse. An animal can’t speak up to protect themselves it is up to us,” stated Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish. The police followed a tip, which led them to the home of 34-year-old Le Ngoc Pham and 47-year-old Hoan Cong Nguwen. There, they reportedly found dogs and exotic birds confined to small filthy cages and in need of care.

Pham and Nguwen have been arrested and charged with over 100 counts of animal cruelty between them. The animals were removed and the dogs have been taken to a treatment facility. Sign below and demand that Pham and Nguwen receive the maximum penalty by law, if convicted.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Jones,

Sixty dogs and numerous exotic birds were reportedly found living in deplorable conditions. They reportedly lived in small cages and were surrounded by their own feces. We demand justice for these innocent animals.

Police described the scene as “disturbing.” Photos showed dogs confined to small dirty cages with piles of feces surrounding them. The animals themselves also appeared to be neglected. One photo reportedly showed a dog with long untrimmed nails and another showed a bird appearing dirty and missing feathers.

This horrific crime cannot go unpunished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,

What happens now to these two people? With one hundred counts of animal abuse between them, I should think a substantial jail term and fines, which should go to the treatment centre where the animals are being cared for. Along with jail time and fines, an order never to be able to own a pet of any kind. This sort of abuse is unacceptable at any level. Let other violators of any animal crime or abuse know what will happen to them. If not, it will continue and this would be intolerable.
