Target: Senator Richard Burr, Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee
Goal: Investigate Trump’s secret and possibly illegal collusion with Russia.
Donald Trump knew about his top security adviser Michael Flynn’s communications with Russian intelligence agents after sanctions were levied against Russia for its hacking of America’s presidential election. However, Trump lied to the American people about this fact and continues to cover up evidence of his administration’s illicit ties to Russia.
As more is released about Russia’s role in the American election and its relationship with the new administration, Americans should be alarmed. If reports are true and Trump knew of Flynn’s communications with Russia, it would mean that he has condoned and covered up treasonous behavior.
The Senate Intelligence Committee should launch an investigation into Trump. This latest revelation is one more in a rapidly growing list highlighting Trump’s ties with Russia and its authoritarian government. Sign the petition and demand that a bi-partisan investigation is launched. Americans have a right to know whether their president represents their interests, or the interests of a dictator in another country.
Dear Senator Burr,
After Michael Flynn’s resignation from Donald Trump’s administration, alarming reports have surfaced that show that Trump has known for weeks about his aide’s treasonous activity, which opened him to blackmail by the Russian government. This is one more piece of information that raises alarm in regards to Trump’s relationship with Russia.
After so many reports, week after week, the Senate Intelligence Committee must investigate what ties Trump has with Russia. He was elected to represent the interests and safety of the American people. However, if these frequent reports are true, he seems to have the interests of another nation in mind, a nation that has long posed a threat to America’s democracy. It is time for a bi-partisan investigation into Trump’s illicit ties to Russia.
