Amazon: Stop Promoting Anti-Semitism with Holocaust-Denying Books

Target: Jeffrey P. Bezos, CEO of Amazon

Goal: Remove all book titles that deny the Holocaust from Amazon’s websites.

Online retail giant Amazon has drawn heavy criticism for allowing the sale of Holocaust-denying book titles, such as “The Myth of the Extermination of Jews.” Although many of these titles have been removed from Amazon’s websites in France, Germany, and Italy, where denying the Holocaust is a crime, they remain available in the U.S. and the U.K.

Amazon has a policy that bans the sale of “offensive material,” yet inexplicably it continues to sell Holocaust-denying material. The systematic extermination of six million Jews, Roma, disabled people, and other marginalized groups at the hands of Hitler’s Nazi regime marks one of the absolute darkest and most well-documented events in the world’s history. Denying the Holocaust is a blatantly hateful and anti-Semitic act that must not be tolerated under any circumstances. Tell Amazon that any and all publications that deny the Holocaust must be removed from its sites as soon as possible.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Bezos,

I was shocked and deeply disappointed to learn that your company has continued the sale of Holocaust-denying books on its U.S. and U.K. websites. Publications of this nature promote anti-Semitism by seeking to erase the single most traumatic and defining moment in history for the Jewish people.

These titles directly violate Amazon’s policy prohibiting the sale of offensive material. I urge you to right this wrong, and remove anti-Semitic materials from all of Amazon’s websites immediately.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

there is no excuse for it!

  2. Why are people so afraid of a few books that challenge the status quo? Why so eager to shut these authors up? Why shouldn’t people be able to read these books and use their own judgement on this matter?
