Justice for Dog Dead After Being Left in Hot Car

Target: Lynn Bradshaw, President of the Western Australia RSPCA

Goal: Punish person who left a dog in a hot car, leading to its death.

A dog is dead after being left in a hot car on a 42 degree day. Witnesses say that the car was parked near a beach and the car’s owner was nowhere to be found. An animal cruelty investigation has been launched by the Western Australia branch of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA).

A horrified witness took notice of the scene when she saw a group of three people smash a car window and pull the exhausted animal out. They poured water on the dog and tried to fan it, but the animal was so weak that it couldn’t hold up its own head. It succumbed to heat exhaustion shortly afterward.

This case comes only a few short weeks after an RSPCA campaign reminded pet owners not to leave their animals in hot cars. According to experts, it only takes a few short minutes for animals to begin to overheat. Not only do owners that do this risk the health and lives of their animals, but they risk criminal animal cruelty charges.

This death was completely unnecessary. The dog’s owner could have taken the animal outside to the beach with them, or even simply left the dog at home. Because of this apparent carelessness, an innocent animal has died. Sign below to demand that the person who left this dog to perish in the heat is punished to the fullest extent of the law.

Dear Mrs. Bradshaw,

A dog is dead after being left in a car on a 42 degree day. Alarmed witnesses broke into the car and were able to pull the animal out and douse it with water. The dog was in such poor condition that it was unable to hold its head up. Despite the best efforts of concerned bystanders, the poor dog succumbed to heat exhaustion shortly after being pulled from the vehicle.

This death comes only weeks after the RSPCA renewed its call to pet owners to ensure that no animals are left in vehicles on hot days like these. This apparent carelessness and negligence has resulted in the death of an innocent animal and trauma for several bystanders. We, the undersigned, ask that you work hard to find and severely punish the person responsible for this cruel act.

  1. Kathryn Irby says:

Prosecute that Animal Abuser to the Fullest Extent of the Law!!!

  2. Why should I have to demand justice ?
This is a life and the abuser must pay so where’s the justice? Justice is there for the evil of the dollar like people going to jail for unpaid fines etc which are more important than innocent lives? My god justice you have it all wrong and you have a lot to answer for now don’t you because thats not justice in my eyes but a portrayal of a sad world that has no respect for life and only carries a deadly virus called the dollar disease
Justice? Think again and until you show me true justice and respect the lives of the innocent then just maybe I will respect you because what goes around comes around

    • I and also my buddies have already been checking out the nice procedures located on your web blog while then developed an awful feeling I never expressed respect to you for those secrets. All of the boys were definitely coelnquentsy thrilled to learn all of them and have in effect definitely been taking advantage of these things. I appreciate you for actually being simply thoughtful and for using these kinds of nice resources millions of individuals are really eager to learn about. Our own sincere apologies for not saying thanks to earlier.

  4. How many times do idiots have to hear Do Not keep your dog in a hot car!!!! WTF!!!!People are so stupid!Poor dog….

  5. Wendy Morrison says:

Put these so-called dog owners in a car locked them from the outside with no way out and leave the car in the direct sunlight and let them die a slow painful death like they did to their innocent dog!!!

  6. This ignorant individual must be found. Somebody must know who this person is. Once found, prosecute and serve with a jail sentence, added to which, he or she must be banned from animal ownership for life. This poor dog did not deserve to suffer and lose its life through the ignorance and neglect of this individual. There must be justice for the loss of life for an innocent, helpless and vulnerable creature.

  7. That poor dog. I can’t understand people. Lock the owner up and throw away the key !

  8. Forty two degrees? Something isn’t adding up here, even if you convert to Celsius. I leave my dog in my truck all the time in the forties and even put a sweater on him. Then I remote start it to run the heat for a few minutes. What’s not being told here?

    • michelle mitchell says:

Frank, before you comment get your facts straight.I am from Australia and we are currently experiencing severe heat wave weather conditions.Today is 42 degrees and it is dreadful. You are obviously trying to upset people with your stupid childish pranks.Go and play with your toys!

      • Yo Michelle…how do you figure your temperature? C or F? Either way forty two degrees is chilly….not hot enough to be a problem and my comment was absolutely on the mark. It is fifty here today with a twenty mph wind and it’s uncomfortable to be out without a jacket.

    • Christine Jones says:

Frank. Michelle has answered your question already but you don’t seem to understand. In Australia we use Celsius. I can assure you 42 degrees Celsius is NOT chilly. 42 degrees Celsius is incredibly hot. It’s the same as 106 degrees Fahrenheit.

  9. An American says:

I certainly agree 100% the person who left that poor dog to suffer and die in the hot car should definitely be punished to the fullest extent of the law!!!

NOTE: Petitions aimed worldwide should clarify that the “42 degrees” are Celsius! When I first read the words “A dog is dead after being left in a hot car on a 42 degree day” I thought it was either ludicrous on a misprint and should have been 92 degrees!!! I live in USA and here “42 degrees” is COOL Fahrenheit!!! We Americans don’t think in terms of Celsius, so my first reaction to calling 42 degrees “hot” was that it was ludicrous!!! It took me several minutes to remember that Australians use Celsius. I had to do the internet conversion thing to find out the REAL temperature was 107.6 Fahrenheit!!! I haven’t used metric since junior high back in the 1960’s and don’t remember any of it, and I never ever think in those terms! Our weather forecasters never use it either!!!
For worldwide petitions Force Change should either clarity by putting the “C” after the degrees— 42C—or 42 degrees Celsius, or else put both 42C and 107.6F on petitions aimed at a worldwide audience!!! Never assume everybody will understand the temperature is in Celsius!!

  10. Anne Moeller says:

Do not waste tax money on jail time- put these people in the same conditions that they did to this dog and let them boil!!!

  11. Lisa Allred Lisa Zarafonetis says:

I hope the bastard owner dies a horrible & painful death for doing this❗?
    Signed & shared ?

  12. A cancer curse on this low life scum. May their body be riddled with skin cancer.
