Success: Boy Scouts Will Accept Transgender Boys

Target: Randall L. Stephenson, President of the Boy Scouts of America

Goal: Applaud that transgender boys will now be accepted into the Boy Scouts.

Transgender boys will now be allowed in the Boy Scouts of America, thanks in part to petitions like ForceChange’s “Stop Discrimination Against Transgender Boys.” Applaud that trans discrimination in the Boy Scouts will no longer be accepted.

For more than a century, the Boy Scouts of America has had a policy that states it will only accept boys who are listed as such on their birth certificate. The organization recently announced that it will now accept members based on the gender parents list on the application.

The announcement comes after controversy last year when a trans boy was kicked out of the Boy Scouts. This new policy will ensure that trans boys will no longer discriminated against and will instead be accepted for who they are.

This policy change is a great step toward progress. Applaud that trans boys will now be accepted in the Boy Scouts.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Stephenson,

For far too long, the Boy Scouts of America has enforced a policy that discriminated against anyone who isn’t cisgender, or doesn’t identify as the gender they were assigned at birth. We live in a progressive society that must protect and empower trans people, which is why I’m writing to applaud you for changing this policy to accept trans boys.

It is vital that we stand up for human rights, and that includes trans rights. I hope you continue to fight discrimination in your organization.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

its wonderful to accept transgender boys in scouts and transgender girls in girls scout but what about nonbinary gender scouts? thats not really fair to nonbinary gender people who need to be in scouts.
