Justice for Senior Dog Kidnapped and Brutally Kicked

Target: Rick Sparks, Franklin County Attorney

Goal: Severely punish the teens allegedly responsible for abducting and kicking a senior dog while filming the act.

Three teenagers in the capital city of Frankfort, KY allegedly filmed themselves after abducting a 16-year old dog from its backyard. In the four-second graphic video, they appear to laugh and crack jokes while mercilessly kicking the tiny eight-pound dog in the head. The video was later posted on social media, where it has since sparked national outrage.

The dog shown in the video, Opal, is an Italian greyhound who is recovering from the trauma inflicted on her. While she is fortunate not to have suffered serious physical harm, her owner reports that she is now nervous and fearful to go outside. Italian greyhounds are particularly susceptible to traumatic injuries, due to their slight builds and fragile bones. With her advanced age, Opal is very lucky to have not been hurt worse from the brutal kicks to her skull.

Since the video has gained notoriety online, the three teens are now under investigation and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department has expressed shock and dismay over the act. Kentucky’s track record on animal abuse cases has been decried as the worst in the nation, so we must be certain that justice is served in this heinous crime. The individuals who allegedly attacked this dog, and had the gall to post their actions on social media, must be held accountable. Add your voice to ensure that they are brought to justice.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Sparks,

A geriatric dog was allegedly kidnapped from her own yard and kicked on film by three teenagers in Kentucky’s capital city. This act was heinous and disgusting, and the graphic film is difficult to watch. The fact that this film was posted to social media demonstrates a lack of empathy or shame on the part of the attackers.

It is obvious to we, the undersigned, that these teenagers must be held accountable for their apparently malicious actions. The Commonwealth of Kentucky must do more to stand up for the welfare of its animals, given the appalling statistics going back over a decade that make it the worst state in the nation in terms of animal abuse. Cases like this cannot go unpunished. We are calling on you to seek the maximum penalties under juvenile law for the three suspects, to prevent further harm to innocent animals.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  1. So they have got the bastard’s,to me that means bugger all!
They will give them a warning, tell them they can’t have animals, maybe a small fine and that will be it!

LOCK THE SHITS UP FOR A MINIMUM TIME OF 1YEAR AND,WITH A BIT OF LUCK THEY WILL GET THEIR JUST REWARDS!

  2. I wonder if their parents are proud of them,if it was my child I would want them locked up.

  3. I would personally LOVE to tie these young subhumans down while I viciously kick the living shit out of their worthless hides with a steel-toed boot!!!

    • Yea yea! Everybody wants to do something to somebody and in the end nothing ever gets done and the perpetrator never gets any hard time or anything to think about. Signing these petitions is a waste of time and our logs Across the Nation are never improving it’s all a laughingstock of nothing.

  4. HANG THESE PUNKS HI NOW FOR KICKING A LITTLE DOG LIKE THIS NOW. THEY NEED DEATH BECAUSE THEY DO NOT CARE FOR OTHERS NOW.

  5. Anne Moeller Anne Moeller says:

These 3 sorry excuses for human beings deserve to have the MAXIMUM penalty and when behind bars get the pain that they inflicted on this innocent dog. Anne Moeller

  6. simon hooper says:

    vile bastards.

  7. Bloody scum kids. They need to have the shit kicked out of them.

  8. ONCE AGAIN: Would they have even done this if there was not social media platform on which to “show it off”?????

NOTICE how often with the brutalization of animals and even killing of animals, it is mentioned, as if in passing, “they sent it to social media”…..I see it the other way around….the prevalence of social media
encourages these kids and older people to ACT this way, they get their “moment of fame” although it may be negative to US, its not all negative to the type of people they’re trying to impress.

Social Media MUST stop highlighting and allowing a place for these photos and videos to be shown, which desensitizes younger people to violence against animals, and encourages those who are already prone to it.

  9. Elaine Benson says:

Some more POS’S caught on film!!! What is the plan for thes KIDS????? Really again the human race!!!!! It really makes you wonder!! For the love of God something needs to be done with these animals that people call HUMANS!!!!

  10. Wendy Morrison says:

KICK THESE STUPID IDIOTS 16 times each for dog napping and kicking this senior dog in the head! Animal Cruelty!!!

  11. Charge these suck sadistic criminals to the fullest extent possible, I could b very creative and charge everything, breaking and entering trespass, theft, animal abuse , conspiracy, and I would send these fake for a mental examination. Hopefully they can b locked up In a facility for the criminally insane. Then I would report these sadistic freaks to the FBI as they are following suck criminals like these sub human pieces of trash!

  12. A cancer curse on the morons. Punishment should fit the crime. Alternatively they should be publicly hanged, they’re not fit to live. Sadly the Law makers haven’t the guts to bring in such legislation. These perpetrators are mentally deranged and should be locked up for life and kept off the streets.

    • You bring up a good point but lawmakers will never do anything and we’ll never know anything until people start taking their voices to where they need to voice their rage. Lawmakers are not looking at social media and are not reading our comments so then we all need to contact our legislation and make it known that we are sick to death of hearing about the amount of violence that is penetrating the fabric of our society across this nation

  13. J S Marczuk says:

How would they like treatment like that performed on them? Too brutal.

  14. eileen flatt says:

God created us and all animals. The parents of these teenagers should be aware of what sub humans teens they are raising, if these teens would attack a tiny elderly dog they would attack an elderly person or worse become serial killers. It starts first how you treat animals and if you are mean and abusive to animals you will turn into a very evil and sick person or persons. Lock them up in jail where they belong. If I was a parent of these teens I certainly would wonder if the parents themselves are abusive and mean to humans and animals.

  15. a) Charge the parents with parental neglect!
    b) Send the bastards into a mental institution, clearly unfit, unsafe to live in society!

    • Dawn Kuiper says:

I agree the parents need to be held accountable to certain degree. As for the mental institution, absolutely not. These animals need to go to prison where hopefully they’ll get treated the same way that poor helpless dog got treated.

  16. ESTA EXCESIVA VIOLENCIA DE ESTOS BASTARDOS NO SE CURA, LA ÚNICA OPCIÓN PARA DETENER ESTE CRIMEN QUE SÓLO GENERA MÁS CRIMEN ENTRE NUESTRAS SOCIEDADES, ES LA CÁRCEL PARA TODAS SUS MISERABLES VIDAS!!!! LA VIDA DE ESTOS MONSTRUOS NO TIENE SENTIDO Y NO MERECEN EXISTIR!!!

  17. Lisa Zarafonetis Lisa Zarafonetis says:

    P. O. S. Bastard❗?
I would kick his fckn teeth down his throat❗?
    Signed & shared ?

  18. Unless Kentucky steps up and does the right thing, that state will never get any of my, and my family’s, tourist dollars.

Let’s hit them where it hurts!
