Target: Rich Sparks, County Attorney for Franklin County, Kentucky
Goal: Demand the maximum penalty for those who stole a dog from a private yard, kicked it in the head, and posted the attack on Facebook.
A video was posted to Facebook showing a dog being kicked in the head. Per Sheriff’s reports, the perpetrators took the dog from its own backyard and brought it down the street to film the attack. Demand justice for this innocent dog.
“It’s disgusting — just to be blunt. It is disgusting and it’s just totally inappropriate. I mean, I can’t believe somebody would do that to a poor, innocent little animal,” stated Sheriff Pat Melton of the Franklin County Sheriff’s office. The four-second clip appeared on Facebook and local citizens immediately alerted the authorities.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s office has identified three possible suspects in this attack. The Sheriff has stated that he will likely pursue animal cruelty charges once the perpetrators’ identities are confirmed. The dog is okay. Sign below to demand the maximum penalty in this case.

Three perpetrators stole a dog from its own backyard and filmed themselves kicking it in the head. The video appeared on Facebook. We demand justice for this innocent dog.
“They evidently took this poor dog off its chain in the back of somebody’s yard, brought it up the street and then kicked it in the head,” stated Sheriff Melton. The short video was posted on Facebook and the Sheriff was alerted through the Franklin County Sheriff’s office Facebook page and numerous calls from concerned local citizens.
This premeditated abuse cannot go unpunished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.
