Dear Trump: What Corruption are you Hiding?

Target: Donald Trump, President-elect of the United States

Goal: Hold press conference about conflicts of interest before presidential inauguration.

Donald Trump, President-elect of the United States, has once again denied transparency to the American people by postponing his press conference on the conflicts of interest his businesses present. Trump previously promised to give a press conference on his business interests and his plans for a blind trust before the end of 2016. However, that press conference was postponed until January, although no exact date was given.

Based on the way Trump has hid from the press and the American people, it seems very likely that he will not hold a press conference at all. Or, if he does, he will do so after he is inaugurated and after he has stood to make millions off the highest office in the land. With business interests around the world, a “charity” that has used donated funds to settle lawsuits, and a secret service that must pay him for the protection of Trump Tower, Trump must be transparent with the American people. He must rid himself of his business and its assets, as all presidents have done before him.

After a campaign in which Trump attacked Hillary Clinton for not holding a press conference, Trump has now gone without a press conference since July. He has time and time again denied the American people access to his true intentions. Perhaps he hopes that, if pushed off long enough like his tax returns, the American people will forget about his conflicts of interest. Sign the petition to let Trump know the American people won’t forget and that we demand transparency before he is inaugurated.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Trump,

You have not given a press conference to the American public since July. You may have held rallies for your supporters or shared tweets for your followers, but these are one-sided forms of communication. The larger group of Americans, who did not cast their votes for you, wait anxiously to hear whether you plan to rid yourself of your business assets and the conflicts they present. To do so would be to follow the honorable precedent set by the men who held office before you.

However, you seem to believe that the American people have no right to such knowledge. Perhaps you believe that if you keep pushing off your press conference, Americans will forget about your conflicts of interest, just as many may have forgotten about your “audited” tax returns. This is not so. A great many Americans want and deserve to know whether you plan to serve the American people, or simply use them as a pawn in one great business scheme. I ask that you finally be honest with the American people and hold the press conference about your business before your inauguration.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  1. He won’t…..he’ll continue doing exactly what he wants, and the Congress will allow it….

  2. WHen will ever democrats demand the same transparency from hitlery, who used the clinton foundation with her husband to earn a pretty luxurious living in exchange for offering her political and economical influence?! Stop wining and get on with your lives!

    • They won’t, Agnes. All they care about it electing another democrap, no matter how slimy or criminal.

    • Trump’s Foundation (which he dissolved rather than have Congress or any agency look too deeply into it) was NOTHING but a money making machine for him and his family……

Hillary was never PERFECT but no where near as horribly corrupt as Trump, a man who inherited millions, and still managed to drive six casinos into bankruptcy! And whose “college” was shown to be a front for making money off gullible people…..

  3. neil moorcroft says:

Americans should have voted for Clinton, i mean she ain’t in anyway corrupt is she !!!

  4. This is totally incorrect and should not be a petition.

  5. Gen Lovyet Agustsson says:

    no more corruptions!

  6. Trump is as corrupt as anyone can be. The only way to stop this Trump monster is eradicating him from this Planet.
