Jarrett suffered only minor injuries. Pazmino was charged with assault as a hate crime, reckless endangerment and weapons possession. Sign below and demand the maximum penalty for the person convicted of this shocking hate crime.
Dear District Attorney Vance,
A black transgender man was reportedly attacked on the subway. Police are investigating the attack as a hate crime. We demand justice for this innocent man.
“I ran to the ticket booth to ask the attendant to call the police, she stated that she did, and that I should sit down. And I passed out after that,” stated Ijan DaVonte Jarrett, the victim. Stephanie Pazmino reportedly lunged at him with a knife, stabbing him under the eye and in the arm. She allegedly made racist remarks about Jarrett prior to the attack.
This shocking hate crime cannot go unpunished. We demand that you seek the maximum penalty in this case.
