Target: Tim Rasmussen, Stevens County Prosecuting Attorney
Goal: Seek the maximum possible penalty for couple who allegedly stabbed dog to death then buried it in the backyard.
A dog was reportedly stabbed 15 times by the owners who dug a hole and buried the animal in the backyard. A large amount of blood was found in the garage, and droplets trailed to the freshly dug, shallow grave in the backyard, according to reports. The dog’s owners had already vacated the home, but were later found thanks to the landlord who called officers.
The couple, 46-year-old Stacey DeLeon and 42-year-old Timothy Triggs, are facing aggravated animal cruelty charges. The savage and excessive violence used in this killing sounds like the work of people who gain a disturbing sense of personal pleasure from it. This innocent dog deserves justice, and other animals should be protected from similar fates. Please sign this petition to demand that this couple receive the maximum possible penalty and a lifetime ban from owning animals in the future, if guilty.
Dear Mr. Rasmussen,
A couple allegedly stabbed their dog 15 times and then buried the poor animal in their backyard. Reports say that officers found large amounts of blood in the garage as well as a trail of blood leading them to the freshly dug grave.
It’s appalling that two people could apparently commit such a violent, disturbing murder on an innocent animal. We urge you to be the voice for this poor dog and help protect others from becoming victims in the future by seeking the maximum penalty for this couple, if guilty.
