Baby Snake Whose Mouth Was Cruelly Sewn Shut Deserves Justice

Target: Juan Perez, Director of Miami-Dade Police Department

Goal: Find and severely punish the cruel person who sewed a baby snake’s mouth shut.

A baby ball python snake was found with her mouth sewn shut. The snake was no more than 14 inches long and in bad shape, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Lieutenant Scott Mullin. The snake’s mouth was sewn shut for so long that she developed a fungal infection, said Mullin, adding that she could’ve been like this for a month.

Mullin, who’s also a member of the Venom One Unit, took the baby snake to a friend, and together they removed the thread. The rescue group and a veterinarian are currently working to try and rehabilitate the python.

Mullin is asking people on social media if they know who could’ve done this, but there’s a good chance they won’t be caught. As long as the person who committed this sadistic act of animal cruelty is still on the streets, this baby snake won’t ever get the justice she deserves. Please sign this petition demanding that authorities get involved, and help find this person and charge them with cruelty to animals.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Perez,

A baby ball python turned up in a backyard with her mouth sewn shut. According to Lieutenant Scott Mullin, the poor snake’s mouth had been like this for so long that she developed a fungal infection. It could’ve been like this for months, Mullin says.

Sewing an animal’s mouth shut is purely cruel. Whoever did this clearly intended for the animal to die a slow, agonizing death of starvation. We demand that immediate action be taken to help find this sadistic person and charge them with cruelty to animals.

Sincerely,

I hope the dehumanized monster who did this gets punished severely somehow if they are not caught!

  5. “So many people insist they are against animal abuse, cruelty, suffering and the inhumane treatment of animals, yet they don’t understand they are actively engaging in and supporting egregious suffering, abuse, cruelty and inhumane treatment when they eat animals and their ‘by-products.’ If you are against cruelty, suffering and inhumane treatment, then you go vegan. It’s just that simple.” – Sarah Kiser
